@SylvanianFrenemies, I hope you're ok, I think you might have had your early scan by now? And will be thinking of you tomorrow @Conorgog. Don't think we've heard from @Treaclepie19 for a little while - I hope you're doing ok too.

JO138 · 05/01/2020 21:41

@Mangoandbroccoli fingers crossed for you this month. I definitely got quite down every month when we did "everything right " and got a BFN. I felt like at my age I was racing against the calendar every month! Now I'm walking on eggshells! 😬

Anything that gets you through! And ideally keeps you sane! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Conorgog · 05/01/2020 22:38

So sorry @DinoGreen, that’s great it’s passed relatively quickly, sounds exactly like my one.
Hope you will be okay. Let us know how you get on tomorrow xx

Good luck @Mangoandbroccoli Fingers crossed, totally agree, whatever you need to get you through!

I’ve been told to go in to Hosp before 2pm tomorrow so my bloods can be taken and results will be waiting in time for 4pm scan, the fmu midwife I have dealt with is SO lovely. Anyway will report back tomorrow evening, I won’t say wish me luck, because who knows what will happen.

Chat tomorrow! X

I'm so sorry @DinoGreen Flowers

Thanks for thinking of me @Mangoandbroccoli. It's been a bit manic here. We had the baby we losts birthday and then it was christmas, then I've not been too well and we had to have out rabbit put to sleep. Feeling a bit overwhelmed!
We're still in the camp of not ttc because everything just seems too much to cope with. Which I'm sad about because I know in the long run I'll wish we had. I dont think we'd cope though 😩

Mini12 · 06/01/2020 12:07

@dinogreen just wanted to let you know thinking of you x

@conorgog Hope all goes well for you today, fingers and toes, everything crossed for you!

@Mangoandbroccoli fingers crossed for you too, you never know, just take each day and try to distract yourself as much as possible!!

Well I'm officially 2 days late, I'm going to test tomorrow if nothing comes...

JO138 · 06/01/2020 14:31

@Mini12 eek! That's exciting. Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

JO138 · 06/01/2020 14:41

@Treaclepie19 I'm so sorry that you are struggling. I was never really able to make the decision to TTC again. We just kind of started not-not trying. I just felt like it was so much pressure and I didn't really want to admit to myself that we were "trying" to avoid disappointment. It didn't really work because every BFN was still hugely disappointing but I just wasn't ever ready to kind of say "yes we are trying ". That might sound really stupid. 😋 But it is just such a big mental commitment!

I hope your year starts to settle down and turn around for the better! X

Treaclepie19 · 06/01/2020 14:59

Thank you @JO138, we did that for a little while but I get so caught up in it each month.
We haven't sorted out contraception though so assuming I feel better soon it may just happen of its own accord 🙈

Mini12 · 06/01/2020 15:23

Thanks @JO138 I think I may have spoke too soon, I keep getting cramps again! I'm not wasting a test to then be "on" tomorrow so I'm def waiting, not sure if it's just a longer cycle or I'm extra sensitive to cramps! It's so annoying being patient!!!

Mini12 · 06/01/2020 15:51

Ok I've gone out and got a test I needed to know whether I could have a super hot bath and I can't!!! It was positive 😬

JO138 · 06/01/2020 16:34

@mini12 ahhhhhh! That's amazing! Huge congratulations! Such great news you must be over the moon!

Mini12 · 06/01/2020 16:59

@JO138 I'm a bit stunned tbh I didn't think it would happen this month! Not sure how to feel.... It's strange but good!

Mangoandbroccoli · 06/01/2020 18:01

Yes @Mini12!!! So pleased for you! Totally know it's still an anxious time but really happy for you nonetheless 🥰

@Treaclepie19 So sorry to hear it's been such a tough time. We were bombarded with sad news too last year and it really knocks you for
six - here's hoping we've had our share for a little bit and all you can do is take one day at a time ❤️

@Conorgog Thinking of you and hope you got on ok today x

JO138 · 06/01/2020 18:15

@Mini12 we seem to all have a knack of getting that BFP when we didn't think we were in with a chance. But totally amazing news!

I had my first day back at work today and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting but my "pregnancy honesty" is definitely back! Was not in the mood to sugarcoat anything! I made sure to get out at lunch and have a little stroll just as my eyes were wanting to close. 😴💤

Conorgog · 06/01/2020 18:49

Congrats @Mini12, that’s lovely news!
@DinoGreen hope your okay, how did everything go today?
@Mangoandbroccoli fingers and toes crossed, what day is test day?
@JO138 good to hear work wasn’t too unmanageable! It’s good to keep busy, but I’m so exhausted by the end of the day. 😴

I had a good day!

Little bebe is measuring 12 weeks, NT measuring 1.5, Papp A and hCG levels all really good, nasal bone and heart looking good too.
My calculated risk is 1:1628 for t21 and 1:20000 for the others.

EDD is 20.07.20 the consultant will scan me again for my 20 week scan too.

The care I have received today has been exemplary, the time they took reassuring us was so nice, we were honestly treated so well.

Will still get an NIPT privately in next couple of weeks because we can, but I feel so much better, less defeatist, more positive.

PHEW, first smallish hurdle sort of ticked off

❤️ Thinking of you @Treaclepie19

@conorgog That's such good news!!! So pleased it's looking good!! I bet it's such a relief and so good that you were cared for today and treated so well!! Are you going to find out the sex?

@Mangoandbroccoli Thank you! I really didn't expect it this month I was sure my cramps were period pains! Still going to be holding my breath for a while but pleased!

@jO138 going back to work is hard enough when it's been a long break but with all pregnancy symptoms too! I feel for you! A nice walk hopefully refreshes you a bit

Mini12 · 06/01/2020 18:59

Thinking of you @Treaclepie19 and dinogreen x

JO138 · 06/01/2020 19:34

@conorgog that's fantastic news! Congratulations! One major hurdle down! Such a relief! ❤

Mangoandbroccoli · 06/01/2020 21:03

Fantastic news @Conorgog!! That must be an enormous relief. I know there's always something to worry about but really hope you feel able to relax and enjoy it a little more now. So pleased you were well looked after by the hospital too ☺️

ShootingStar2020 · 06/01/2020 21:09

@Conorgog - that is fantastic. So pleased for you and so happy you were well looked after. Gives me hope!

@Mini12 - congratulations!! No hot bath required 😂

@DinoGreen - thinking of you xxx

@JO138 - the first day back is always the hardest. It’s downhill now to the weekend!

Hugs to all xxx

Treaclepie19 · 06/01/2020 21:53

That's such amazing news @Conorgog!!
Congratulations @Mini12!

Thank you all for being such good support ❤
It's funny how you block things out. I've just remembered when I was pregnant I had horrible migraines and weird episodes where I couldn't talk properly/went numb. I'd completely forgotten. Puts me off another pregnancy even more!

JO138 · 07/01/2020 09:39

@Treaclepie19 I think if we didn't have pregnancy and birth amnesia we'd go extinct! 🤣 I have had few symptoms coming back that I had blocked out. Struggling to brush my teeth without throwing up being the most recent.

I've got my first midwife this morning so I'm still at home absolutely shattered. I went to bed at 830pm last night. Actually looking at my diary to see if I can squeeze in a nap after I get home from the midwife. 😬

Conorgog · 07/01/2020 10:16

God I love brushing my teeth ATM, makes me feel fresher, less salivary URGH some aspects of pregnancy are so gross.

Hope appointment goes well @JO138, let us know when they will book you in for NIPT etc.

And thanks everyone for the lovely messages, still in a little disbelief that it’s okay. ☺️

Mini12 · 07/01/2020 10:21

@JO138 is this your booking appointment? When do your next scan?

I just called the hospital and they said I can have an early scan around 7-8 weeks but obviously they can't always pick everything up, guess this is the wait now, 8 week scan, 12 week scan. I've decided I'm not mentioning to anyone (apart from hubby of course and maybe manager) as I don't want anyone else worrying for me or even being excited for me! It's still very early days so just trying to not think about it, is that weird?

JO138 · 07/01/2020 11:36

@Mini12 not weird at all. I got a positive test so early at 10dpo that I didn't believe it and didn't tell my DH for almost a week until after I had missed my period and done about 8 HPTs.
Today is my booking appointment then scan is a week today the NIPT 2 weeks after that.

Just in the waiting room with a vial of wee in my pocket eating mini breadsticks and repressing the urge to vomit. Pregancy is definitely not a glamorous time! @Conorgog 🤣
