I believe the only ‘symptom’ I get is a stronger sense of smell. I (my nose) was particularly challenged by a man who smelt like he had had a full night of heavy drinking on my train to work yesterday, but then he could have just smelt incred bad anyway. 😂

@Mangoandbroccoli you do deserve it! A for effort!😂 You all do!! I can't wait til I am join you in trying, (not that I'm sex crazed, you know what I mean! 🙈) I'm excited for you all! (Probably will obviously be shitting it myself when I finally start trying!) But I really am hopeful for all of you x
@JO138 I feel the same about age gaps, I have a friend who had her first when she was about 19 then 2nd at 30, you make each age gap work for you don't you! I'm just happy my first is out of nappies so only one lot of poop to clean up! (Well mostly)

Mangoandbroccoli · 08/11/2019 20:35

Thanks @Conorgog and @Mini12 - we certainly all do!

@Conorgog Only takes once so fingers still firmly crossed for you!

Can't believe how many of us are testing next weekend 😬 I temp as well so usually pretty obvious from that as see a nice crash the day before period is due 🙈

Treaclepie19 · 08/11/2019 21:33

Hi all! Wishing you all the best for testing 🤞
My period arrived this morning so onto another cycle I go.
Off out to the cinema and for a meal with family tomorrow so I'll have a few cocktails.

JO138 · 09/11/2019 07:24

@Treaclepie19 enjoy your cocktails and film. I'm very jealous. We are selling our house at the moment so weekends are consumed with viewings and cleaning the house!

@Mangoandbroccoli fingers firmly crossed. Good effort! I'm still annoyed at myself for falling asleep on my one biggest chance! Next month!

No wine for me last night. I fell asleep putting DS to bed around 1845 and my husband woke me up when he got on. All I could be bothered to do was go get in our bed and went straight back to sleep! 😊

JO138 · 09/11/2019 07:26

*when husband got home! Not on. That read a little wrong 🤭

Happy weekend all and good luck to those in the TWW! I’m on AF at the moment and grateful that after 3 horrendously heavy periods, this one has been more or less back to normal.

DH and I had a conversation the other night about TTC again and I managed to get through it without breaking down into tears for the first time ... we’ve decided we will probably start trying after Christmas. Though it would have been this baby’s due date in mid-Jan which will be hard so maybe we might wait until Feb, but will see how I feel.

It’s been a miserable rainy day here so we’ve been curled up on the sofa with films most of the afternoon, which is actually just what I needed after a busy week at work and still been getting over the stomach bug I had. Hopefully back to fighting fit next week!

Mangoandbroccoli · 09/11/2019 20:43

Good luck for the next cycle @Treaclepie19!

That sounds great @DinoGreen 🥰

Hehe, that made me chuckle @JO138 😂

Treaclepie19 · 09/11/2019 23:26

Thank you ladies :)
The film was brilliant. Much needed after heavy period for 2 days so far and an internal ultrasound this afternoon even with the heavy period 😭

@Treaclepie19 I hope things have settled down. And @DinoGreen I hope things are back to normal and you can have an easier week this week.

I have what might be a stupid question. I am supposed to be getting my hair couloured this afternoon. Root touch up. I didn't even think when I booked it. Would you guys go ahead or cancel? 😬🤔

Also what's with the deleted message??

Mangoandbroccoli · 11/11/2019 08:05

@JO138 I think I would - I think it's ok to carry on as normal until you get a bfp, particularly as my understanding is that issues occur when things can pass through the placenta, which is a long way off yet. Not a medical opinion, of course, but slightly based on a discussion with a close friend once, who eventually tried for 3 years (2 beautiful dds at the end!) and agreed that you can't put your life on hold during that time.

Deleted message was a spammer who tried to leave a link to a dodgy website on most of the boards across Mumsnet.

JO138 · 11/11/2019 08:32

Thanks @Mangoandbroccoli. I have a list of things that have bothered me that I did in the days before I found out that I was pregnant last time. One was get my hair colour and the other I went in with my DS when he got an xray on his foot. I know that is not what caused the issues but I still kicked myself about it. 😬

Conorgog · 11/11/2019 08:52

I would go, as @Mangoandbroccoli said I think until you have positive you shouldn’t put you life on hold. Do not hold on or kick yourself for last time! It was just shitty luck.

Xx

So, I got in the lift with someone who Had just had a cigarette - and almost vomited from the smell. (Which would usually be the case anyway but this time I really almost dry retched). I thought hmmmm that’s a bit odd. Came home curious, weed on a stick and what do you know, a faaaaaaint line. I’m due my period I think on Wednesday so could maybe be an LH surge but will wait and see (no congrats please -who knows what this is). I shouldn’t have tested!

@conorgog well I won't congratulate you but fingers firmly crossed.

And sorry if I'm thick but is that a hpt? I only buy the ones for dummies that spell it out! 😊

Conorgog · 11/11/2019 18:28

I think I was looking for an excuse to test, really really really kicking myself now - I’ve heard the day or two before your period you can get faint positives/false positives from the LH surge? Bleurgh!

OP posts:
Conorgog · 11/11/2019 18:34

Yeah it’s an Hpt, these are the ones that measure 10ml - as opposed to the 25ml ones - which are the ones I didn’t get a positive on for ages last time!

OP posts:
JO138 · 11/11/2019 19:41

Ha ha. Well you are in good company. I bought 2 first response tests this afternoon. Tomorrow is supposedly the first time I can test. I am going to try and wait until at least Thursday....she says.

All I have ever read about hpt is that any line no matter how faint is a good thing so fingers crossed!

Mangoandbroccoli · 11/11/2019 22:35

@Conorgog 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

DinoGreen · 12/11/2019 11:11

Eeek @Conorgog good luck! When will you test again? 🤞🏻

Conorgog · 12/11/2019 11:54

I’m going to (try) stay away from them till Saturday. My period is technically due tomorrow so could still come, we will see...

Fingers crossed - but then I’m realistic, it’s all good if it (af) comes too.

OP posts:
Mangoandbroccoli · 13/11/2019 08:42

Woken up feeling so low after seeing temp come down this morning, which means my period is on the way. So gutted as I want to know why it hasn't worked this month, when I of course know the odds are low anyway. My little one was due on Sunday and I can't believe the only thing that's going to be arriving is my period 😞

Conorgog · 13/11/2019 09:02

Oh Mango, I’m so sorry. That is really rough timing. How accurate is temping, I’d say your not out till your out, but if you know that’s a sign, then I’m sending you a big big hug.

OP posts:
JO138 · 13/11/2019 09:16

Oh @Mangoandbroccoli I'm sorry. That's really shite timing. I have never temped but hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised. Will be thinking of you. Flowers

I am on a very crowded train with the worst bloody cramps. I'm 12dpo and I have managed to avoid testing thus far but might in the morning. Thinking that this cramping mean AF ain't far away.

@conorgog fingers still crossed. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
