To take my very new bloke

where I know some, if not all, of my ex-in-laws will be??

Background, XH is a KNOB of the first order, he's said a load of crap, behaved pretty shitty to me.

So, one of his more charming comments was that I'd never find anyone else.

And I've got a new bloke who is lovely.

All his family go to this wee local town every Sunday night - think getting dressed up and cruising round in cars, cars which must be spotless. Its snob central, judgy pants heaven.

And the new bloke drives an Aston Martin Vantage V12.

So, AIBU? We wouldn't need to get out of the car or speak to them, just be seen...

You and your new bloke seem ideally suited.

toccatanfudge · 05/06/2010 23:48

4 gorgeous kids.

Boys2mam · 05/06/2010 23:49

he basics
knockraven joined Mumsnet in 2010. She lives in Northern Ireland. She is 40. She does not have children.

iamfabregasted · 05/06/2010 23:50

Yours aren't bad either Tocc !!

I am just a car geek - my ideal car is an old Mini I cried when I had to sell mine, 1275 cooper s engine, race tuned, minilites, flares.....

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 05/06/2010 23:50

lots of people don't fill in all the details when they register.........it's nothing new.

iamfabregasted · 05/06/2010 23:51

I need to update that then, thought it said I had 4 kids, Tocc can back me up !!

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 05/06/2010 23:54

Boys2mam · 05/06/2010 23:55

My flaming lap-top is playing up a b***d tonight

iamfabregasted · 05/06/2010 23:56

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 05/06/2010 23:56

iamfabregasted · 05/06/2010 23:57

right click on

My Mumsnet

Just under the big black "MY MUMSNET" - you'll see some headers, "my mumsnet", "your details" "your children".............it's the 3rd one you want.

Then once you've done that you can go to "public details" and choose which details about your children you want shown.

moondog · 06/06/2010 00:03

Ah, was going to ask if yuo were frmo NI.
i used to go out with a bloke from there and they did all this weird cruising stuff.

You are 40 you say?

Really, it's very silly.

toccatanfudge · 06/06/2010 00:05

I guess it's whatever floats your boat though isn't it Moondog.

I bet you do some things that many people would go "oh that's so silly" at.

Boys2mam · 06/06/2010 00:05

I guess it means bugger all but us pedants pick up on the miniscule details.

Update your details.

Back to the original AIBU; as far as I am concerned as much as I would love to say anything, everything I have achieved post-ex I would love to be mature enough to enjoy without rubbing in his face but the fact is I am so proud of so fuck them I want to dance about it.

Pathetic? Yes . Do I care? Nope

iamfabregasted · 06/06/2010 00:06

Right, done, but since two of my children are technically adults - they are 19 and 18 - I can't add them so although it says I have 2 children, I really do actually have 4

OP posts:
moondog · 06/06/2010 00:07

Without a doubt Tocc.
And if I told you about them here, you would all tell me so eh?

iamfabregasted · 06/06/2010 00:08

OK Boys - what do you suggest I do, given that MN won't let me acknowledge the existence of 2 of my children?

OP posts:
toccatanfudge · 06/06/2010 00:08

oh yes I'm sure we would

iamfabregasted · 06/06/2010 00:10

So, the overwhelming opinion seems to be that me and my new bloke should not go anywhere

a in his nice car
b that my ex is likely to be?
