Why? Was there any need? Pull on the old heartstrings..

Poor kids, and it's tea time.

i thought it was very sweet to see them, especially because they are adorable!
he left with dignity and you could actually see the relief, he stood up straighter, moved like a weight off his shoulders.

i suppose you think Sam Cameron getting pregnant and them being shown spending time with their disabled son is all a publicity stunt for the Camerons?

and i hate Cameron, his face....so shiny.

Lovely boys - they were so alike! No doubting they were brothers.

Not going to get into the political stuff. The OP is clearly slightly bonkers, probably driven mad by so much election coverage and political chat that she doesn't know reasonable from unreasonable any more. For the record clearly the OP is unreasonable and GB wasn't to take the children with him.

I also admit to a small welling up of the eyes and I am not a labour supporter, just that it must be a big deal no longer being PM when the pursuit of the job and being PM must have been such a big focus in his life for so long. A poignant moment for him.

If it had been me, I would have tried to arrange it so that my children were able to leave in privacy and just me do the "press opportunity" departure and speech after they'd gone. However, whether the press would have afforded them that luxury is another thing- probbaly worse getting cameras shoved against the car windows when you dont have your parents with you.

I've got mixed feelings about politicians bringing their family into the public eye. Soemtimes I think it's unfair on the children- Euan Blair couldnt even get drunk in a gutter without getting papped .

Personally if I was a PM's OH I'd do a Dennis and stay well out of the way and keep my children out as well

Mind you, I think putting scan photos on FB is an invasion of unborn child's privacy so I am a bit obsessed on that.
