Poor kids, and it's tea time.

Honest and unprincipled?

Anyway, DC is now PM as it should be. You might not like it, but more people voted for him than they did GB. Fact. End of.

Hulababy · 11/05/2010 20:44

I do disagree. IMO you are being totally uneasonable with your comments. They, IMO, come from a very biased view of things.

As someone pretty uninterested in most things political (although I do vote as I believe I must) I feel I am pretty unbiased in terms of it all, and I truely do not feel either man has used their children in order to gain votes or sympathy in the ways your suggest.

violethill · 11/05/2010 20:44

Tea time. Jesus, how suburban. The OP obviously has the sort of family who would sit and eat tea because it's The Right Time no matter what national or international events might be unfolding. How terribly dull.

StrictlyTory · 11/05/2010 20:44

runawaywife where on earth is this Britten you talk of?

RunawayWife · 11/05/2010 20:45

Oh how camera grabbing of David Camerons wife stood there all pregnant in full view, hide her away, shame on you David letting us see her, we now know you have had sex......

RunawayWife · 11/05/2010 20:46

Whoops trying to do 3 things at once

CatIsSleepy · 11/05/2010 20:47

lordy, what a daft OP

GB has been nothing but dignified throughout all this

am not sure what you think being photographed with his children will do for his profile, really

and he's still an MP as far as I know so actually he doesn't need a job....

StrictlyTory · 11/05/2010 20:47

I wish I was SamCam

CatIsSleepy · 11/05/2010 20:48

RunawayWife please-i don't want to think about ole hamface having sex, no siree

RunawayWife · 11/05/2010 20:49

Sadly I do not think blue suits her poor woman, I bet she looks really good in red but can't ware it

LadyBiscuit · 11/05/2010 20:49

Yes, more people did vote for DC. A whopping 36% of you. Hardly something to be proud of is it?

LadyBiscuit · 11/05/2010 20:50

And yes, you can be honest and unprincipled at the same time. Look up what the words mean.

RunawayWife · 11/05/2010 20:50

But clearly cat he only stood her there to show off that he can still get it up

I wonder where the Cameron's children are??

pagwatch · 11/05/2010 20:51

I don't think that either GB or DC have used their children. I think it is pretty silly to suggest that they have. And quite mean spirited.

I think leaving no 10 and having your wife and sons at your side is perfectly reasonable and nice. And i think The Browns dignity in dealing with the loss of their child was equal to the dignity shown by the Camerons.

Some quite unpleasant posts on here tbh.

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 11/05/2010 20:51

It's a fact, Ladybiscuit, and it's called democracy. Are you so arrogant that you can't accept more people don't want GB than do? Are they all wrong?

violethill · 11/05/2010 20:51

Who has said anyone is 'proud?' We've got a hung parliament precisely because no one had a majority in the commons. Not many people particularly want DC; not many particularly wanted GB.

HerBeatitude · 11/05/2010 20:52

I think he should have locked them in the cellar and kept them there as a fifth column.

Or something. Because allowing them to leave at the same time as him is obviously a very unreasonable thing for him to do.

I myself always insist that my children leave the house at least an hour after I do. I am never seen with them in public in case people think I'm showing off.

theQuibbler · 11/05/2010 20:52

Yes you are being totally unreasonable, OP.

And churlish and unpleasant.

You can hurl many accusations at GB, but using his children for publicity isn't one of them.

Unlike Cameron who clearly has no shame in that department.

Hulababy · 11/05/2010 20:53

I don't think ANY of the parties have much to be proud of with regards to the election results.

But in the same way you are saying that measly 36% is nothing to be proud of, then surely the 29% that Labour managed to scrape or the 23% the Lib Dems got are even worse?

I just wish we could have proper Tv back again now ;)

LadyBiscuit · 11/05/2010 20:53

Maisie - I don't want GB as our PM. But I want DC even less. Democracy is proportional representation which is something DC and his mates aren't that keen on. Why? Because there is no way they'd get a majority under it! So please don't talk to me about democracy - FPTP is a farce and a distant cousin of real democracy

violethill · 11/05/2010 20:55

Why does this thread keep going off the point?
Yes, FPTP is a farce. The OP wasn't talking about that, it was some ridiculous chunter about GB walking out of No 10 with his children.

And then it took a very nasty turn with unpleasant posts about personal tragedies.

CagedBird · 11/05/2010 20:56

YABU I thought it was quite nice tbh, it's one of the things I've respected about GB because I think that's the first time I've seen them.

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 11/05/2010 20:58

Well it's what we've had for many years in this country, and I haven't seen much sign of any huge clamoring for anything else in previous elections when it's been seen by both Labour and the Tories as suiting their needs just fine, thank you.

I thought you were hiding this thread btw?

StrictlyTory · 11/05/2010 21:00

Oh and GB's children are really gorgeous, I had no idea they were so old! A very very sweet moment.
