Despite never really having liked him, I warmed to him after that speech. I found it quite astute and heart-warming. I think I always would have liked him more if some spin doctor hadn't told him to 'smile more' and be more like Tony Blair etc and allowed him to be the dour old Scotsman I always saw him as before he came to power.
