Back to the OP.
I suspect that the only reason the op is still with her boyfriend, is that she sympathises with his views. She might just have a hard time reconciling herself to the fact that as the daughter of a jewish mum she should not be thinking this way.
Am I right to think this? I can see no other explanation.
Daftpunk, thank you for "explaining". Up til now, I did not know your views were so heavily influenced by simply what you have been fed, and shows so little sign of you having applied your own logic to it. I am surprised, because you do now and then speak sense on other topics.
When I was young, much younger, around 18 19, I knew a couple of boys who were extreme right wing. Their views were all the more surprising because they had highly intelligent parents, working in academia. Thinking back I think it was teenage rebellion. Their parents are SO respectable, yet so LIBERAL (professors etc) that the only way they could rebel was to go the other way. Being Gay, or listen to "bad" music wouldnt really repulse their parents, as they were so liberal." There were a lot of talk about stealing weapons from the army and hiding it out in the woods, in case the Russians attacked and they would form their own "home front", or to drive Moroccans out of the country. All very strange. Most of them grew out of it. It is almost absurd to think of a "generation" of people like this growing up, and living, in the UK today, without having left such childish and ill informed views behind.
