Period is very late and if I am pregnant is most definitley unplanned. Am not in a good situation with work/money right now and would put a huge pressure on both of us if I was. Have DD 3years and would love more but really bad timing. Having said that I would not even consider an abortion - just not for me although understand why some people might.

So AIBU to have us both lying awake all night worrying when it might be negative or should I go for the problem shared is a problem halved?

Nope, I'd do what you did. I did both my pregnancy tests in private - neither were accidents but I didn't want to get his hopes up unnecessarily, so opposite problem really but I am all for it, unless he's the kind of bloke who might get upset that you didn't spill. Good luck either way x

expatinscotland · 22/03/2010 21:45

YANBU. Get some sleep.

LittleSilver · 22/03/2010 21:46

YANBU, no point worrying him when nothing he can do about iyswim? Come vent on here! (but let us know the outsome won't you?)

I hope it is the answer that you want.

MadLenny · 22/03/2010 22:00

Thanks folks, He knows I'm late but have kind of played it down as though I'm not that concerned when in actual fact I am sh**ing myself that it will be positive. Will keep you updated.

Could you not do the test now? Is there a late night supermarket you could pop to and pick a test up from? Might as well get it over with!

LittleSilver · 22/03/2010 22:37

I've got seven upstairs in the linen cupboards suggests helpfully

GreaterFence · 22/03/2010 22:38

If AF is very late then you could do it now and get an accurate result, save worrying all night?

CarrieJF · 23/03/2010 07:17

If it's negative then you're saving him from the worry.

If it's positive, then ...errrr.... you've saved him from some of the worry?

Deep breaths, calm thoughts and 'what will be will be'.

Good Luck
