Period is very late and if I am pregnant is most definitley unplanned. Am not in a good situation with work/money right now and would put a huge pressure on both of us if I was. Have DD 3years and would love more but really bad timing. Having said that I would not even consider an abortion - just not for me although understand why some people might.

So AIBU to have us both lying awake all night worrying when it might be negative or should I go for the problem shared is a problem halved?

Another bump!

MadLenny · 23/03/2010 19:27

Sorry folks, now news yet. My testing attempts have been thwarted. How come when you want a quiet moment in the bathroom suddenly the whole house is up and on the move before 6am (never usually happens!!!. Been at work all day and will shortly have a house full of relatives and friends - hardly ideal testing situation. Will update when there is something to actually tell

Can't you just pretend you have a dodgy stomach and hide in the bathroom for a bit? The suspense is drving me mad!

SirBoobAlot · 23/03/2010 19:35

Yes, don't be so selfish, we need to know

On the other hand, it sounds rather hectic, I hope you get some peace soon.

NextDirectory · 23/03/2010 19:39

just get in the toilet and do it now. it only takes a few seconds and we can all leave you alone

cookielove · 23/03/2010 19:48

I took my last pregnancy test a full fortnight before telling my husband it was positive. I was petrified it would be yet another early miscarriage and didn't want to get his hopes up. I fully understand why you wouldn't want to tell yours to avoid worrying him, possibly in the other direction. He may however not react at all the way you fear he might if it were positive.

2rebecca · 24/03/2010 00:18

It's more reliable if first urine of morning. I did urine sample for mine first thing and then hid sample and tested it when had a quiet moment. Didn't tell husband until afterwards. It only takes a couple of minutes to do the test so suspect you're putting it off rather than really not being able to lock bathroom door for 2 minutes.

bump.......

ButterPie · 24/03/2010 00:53

I did the test that resulted in DD2 in secret, more because I was so convinced it would be negative...it was more of a shock to DP to get me wondering into the front room, pale and shaking and waving a smelly stick at him, saying "how many lines do you see on that stick?" That was about 8pm, as I had just put DD1 to bed.

If it is any consolation, we thought both our DDs would be disasters, and they both turned out to be exactly what we needed.

proudestmummyever · 24/03/2010 09:00

I have just looked at ths thread and I am like everyone else, I WANT to know if you are pregnant too!!! Pls tell!!! xx

I didn't tell DH until I had been to the hospital and had a positive blood test too. Even then I considered keeping it to myself due to previous losses/couldn't bear for him to be hopeful. I did tell him tho and was glad I had, he wasn't upset I had waited to get a positive first tho. Good luck!

MmeLindt · 24/03/2010 09:05

ooooooooh, I will lurk a while longer.

Anything doing?

Colonelcupcake · 24/03/2010 09:05

Hope its the result you want x
