Unfortunately it appears that Huntley will survive.

AIBU in thinking that it's a pity that the harm caused to Huntley wasn't fatal?

Why would you want someone to violently murder Ian Huntley?

Is it because Ian Huntley violently murdered people?

Can you see where your case falls flat here?

Lionstar · 21/03/2010 22:42

Cheers Quattro, worried I've started ranting too though

Su, could you be more random - bit fishy if you ask me

ShadeofViolet · 21/03/2010 22:43

But he didnt violently murder people - he violently murdered two innocent children, then lied about in on camera - that takes a special sort of psycho!

j0807bump · 21/03/2010 22:44

gut reaction to the news - YANBU

sit down and think about it and i just don't know.

sure the nicest way to describe huntley is that he's a murdering, paedo scum who has no business taking up our sunday evenings, but in reality whoever gave him a kicking is prob just as vile

heart says hope he's in alot of pain, head says i shouldn't think like that. sometimes you just can't help it though

DuelingFanjo · 21/03/2010 22:45

YABU - what a stupid thing to say.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 21/03/2010 22:45

so children are not people?

DrNortherner · 21/03/2010 22:46

I knew there would be cries of 'but we live in a civilised society' on this thread. Yes, but only if you are civilised.

Scum like IH and the like are murderers, peodophiles and rapists and would not know what being civilised was if it smacked them in the face. Lock them up, throw away the key and let them rip each other to shreds, I for one would not lose a seconds sleep.

SuSylvester · 21/03/2010 22:46

ooh northener
you

dm reader

Quattrocento · 21/03/2010 22:47

For you, Violet, we'll reintroduce lynching for special sorts of psychos. And you get to decide who the special psychos are, and precisely how slow and painful their deaths should be.

Now that's all sorted, can we get back to the topic of radishes as an aphrodisiac? Does this only work next to the Danube? Or does it work anywhere if the radishes are salted?

DrNortherner · 21/03/2010 22:49

I make no apologies but just can not do caring and compassionate when talking about IH. No can do.

2shoes · 21/03/2010 22:49

radishes as an aphrodisiac is that true???????

wannaBe · 21/03/2010 22:50

so let's say the person who did this to IH was .. oh, dunnow, Peter sutcliffe. Or ian Brady. Actually yes, let's say it was Ian Brady, given his crimes were actually signifficantly worse than Huntley's.

Would you shake him by the hand?

How could you reconcile that what he did was right given the wrongs he has perpitrated in his own life?

Quattrocento · 21/03/2010 22:50

DrNo, you are not allowed to throw in your lot with vigilantes who can't spell Valhalla. Talk about radishes instead. You know you want to ...

ShadeofViolet · 21/03/2010 22:50

I never said anything about lynching, as I have already pointed out, I believe in capital punishment, I know that most of you wont agree with me but thats what I think.

I however wont be losing any sleep tonight over him, unlike the poor parents of the children he killed.

ra29needsabettername · 21/03/2010 22:51

You're right ShadeofViolet clearly why these kinds of crimes happen is completely irrelevant far better just to get revenge after the event than to think about anything that might help with prevention.

ShadeofViolet · 21/03/2010 22:52

Oh and Radishes are yuck BTW!

ShadeofViolet · 21/03/2010 22:54

Do you mean to prevent them from happening again, as in some kind of cure/fixing/reprogramming?

HellBent · 21/03/2010 22:55

ahem wannabe I made that point and no one listened, and that was before all this talk of radishes!

i think horse radish is different to radish iynwim

wannaBe · 21/03/2010 22:58

but we don't have capital punishment.

So given we don't have capital punishment, it's not ok for fellow rapest/murderers/thugs to be committing violence against someone just because that someone is equally undesirable.

If Huntley attacks a known paedophile next month will you want to shake him by the hand?

2shoes · 21/03/2010 22:58

it is
