Right terribly sorry for trying to hijack the other thread.
A cat up the road from us thinks it owns the street .
It scares away any other cat that lives nearby, and keeps jumping all over our car scratching it all over, and shiting in my garden which i have to clean up cos i have kids, its disgusting why the hell should have to put up with this, its caused a lot of damage which we should not have to pay for. What the hell do i do. Grrrr

mamatomany it is ( after looking on the internet)fromcat's poo which is something called Tomasotis ( think thats what it was called) which causes blindness. I have no qualms of cats at all only that they shit in my garden and I cannot let my grand daughter out until I clear it up ( which pisses me off )and I fully agree that those who let their dogs shit in the street and leave it should have their noses rubbed in it they would not leave their dogs shit in their own garden or driveway they would get it up and the same applies to cat owners if your neighbour's garden has shit in there from their cats offer to go round and clear it up it's only fair. If I was to make a whole in the fence and my dog into the neighbours I would have a lawsuit on my hands it has to be fair all round with dogs and cats ( I know it's the neighbours cats as I have seen them do it )

I thought that the whole point of owning a cat was that they didn't shit on their own doorsteps.

emptyshell I don't think anyone minds the cats are indoor as they are causing no one a problem and I think you are one of the few cat owners who appreciate that a cat will do it's business in other people's garden and you have trained them not to, like I respect people's gardens by making sure my dog does not get into them , by cleaning up his shit when out walking. It respect for others at the end of the day.

redbindipurrs: So what your say is it's okay for you cat to shit in someone else's garden?

redbindippurs · 08/08/2010 22:19

Airyfairy1955 - yes, anywhere that's not my garden.

We have the sonic rodent repellents in the garage and have not seen any mice since. I didn't know they made them for cats. (Our cat is an indoor cat)
