Lady Gaga's new vid...

I personally love Lady Gaga, but felt very uncomfortable when this came on the tv today, my little sister was visiting and I had to switch it over. I watched the video online and loved it, but I can't believe they are showing it during the day. The only thing missing from the edited version is the swearing and the close up of her lady bits!

World gone mad

I love it though.

Pink is rather fabulous- I loved that Stupid Girl video where she took the piss out of the Jessica Simpsons of the world. Now that was funny and had something to say.

BritFish · 16/03/2010 20:43

PoFaced; i think Lady Gaga puts a lot of effort into her performance as well.
Pink was so amazing at the Grammys, i couldnt believe it! a star with talent and skill and determination!

MmeLindt · 16/03/2010 20:45

I agree about Pink. I heard her on the radio today, and thought that she is truly an artist.

Not convinced that Gaga is at all talented, except in self promotion.

I was a bit disappointed in Lady Gaga at Glastonbury BritFish. I thought she was not a natural live performer and had a backing track I think. I don't mind her but don't find her exciting. And she is a bit vapid in interviews, especially her latest 'repair' job on Woss.

Pofaced: I saw her at V last year. some of her stuff was great, but she struggled on others. i think i enjoy her because she puts so much effort in with everything. she had this purpose made video playing before the show, the lighting, the costumes. i just find her more interesting than just watching someone with backing dancers and flashy lights.
i think she gets it wrong sometimes, but at the same time she doesnt do stuff for her audience, she does what she wants. like, the Brits was it? she changed her energetic set at the last minute into a toned down dedication to Alexander McQueen. which i thought was great that she made that change, but everyone was very hmmm at because they didnt play something they knew!

to be honest, the best Gaga moment was the picture of her shaking the queens hand in that crazy red dress.

SpringHeeledJack · 16/03/2010 21:07

ooh, I've always thought of Pink as a bit of a fakey cakey- "I'm Dead Independent, Me, Cos That's What My Record Company Want"

Gaga? I dunno. I half think she's bobbins and I half think she's Madonna

Pofacedagain · 16/03/2010 21:10

oh was it Alexander McQueen she was wearing at the brits, BritFish? I wondered if it was just something to cover a nose job

Yes I've always thought that about Pink too Spring. But the live show involved so much skill and bravery I was impressed. And actually, even if that video is just another marketing ploy, it is a bloody good one, and a great one for our daughters to be impressed by.

MmeLindt · 16/03/2010 21:11

Love that video, BoF. I must download her new album, I really like Pink.

Did you see that? There were porn images, nudity, even the odd nork on that video (odd as in occasional, not peculiar).

Were we offended? No, because it had a message, and a bloody positive one at that.

Would I mind my DD seeing that video? No. Because it would open the way to a discussion with her about what it is to be a woman.

Perhaps not quite yet. At 8yo she has a bit of time to be an innocent little girl.
