I am finding this thread reassuring for reasons quter hnothing to do with the OP.

And echolulum in every way.

Hide threads MrsP, tis easy, I do it lots.

Feierabend · 28/02/2010 17:43

Hee hee why did you start a bfing thread in AIBU then?

Littlefish · 28/02/2010 17:44

I think that part of the trouble is that the sections are just too bloody complicated. I can never find anything when I want it. perhaps that's why people just bung them anywhere they feel like it.

I like education threads, but if I want to read them, I now have to go to:

Am I being unreasonable
Primary Education
Chat

I wish people would just keep them all together.

Breastfeeding threads are always more interesting though when they are not in the "proper" section - you get a lot more viewpoints. Most people who post in breastfeeding are either new parents of young babies who are (mostly) a bit scared of how feisty everything gets, or they are breastfeeding activists who are already well-informed about breastfeeding.

woman you are SO identifiable!

BertieBotts · 28/02/2010 17:46

Also, there is a section to discuss sections, it's called site stuff.

TabithaSmith · 28/02/2010 17:47

They almost always end up dominated by a couple of breastfeeding counsellors spouting huge chunks of statistics and research at all of us mere mortals.

They are unbearable.

BitOfFun · 28/02/2010 17:51

Yawnsome, I agree. But so is most of the guff I post too, I guess.

Yabu

Flightattendant · 28/02/2010 18:01

chat should be banned.

PuzzleRocks · 28/02/2010 18:01

YABU. But since you seem to loathe Natalie Hartley with an intensity that matches my own I wont be drawn in and shall just shuffle off muttering and aggressively lactating.

bf threads serves really useful purpose on mn

keeps all the ranty loons and zealots in one place

so the rest of us can get some peace.whilst they slog it out.

tethersend · 28/02/2010 18:21

something about choice

Reallytired · 28/02/2010 18:25

Ask mumsnet to delete the thread or move it. Any as the thread is in chat it will be deleted in 100 days.

Why can't I discuss breastfeeding in chat. Its hardly illegal.

I thought the thread was far more fun discussing the breastfeeding choices of the flintstones. Can you imagine a serious breastfeedign thread doing THAT?

Nancy66 · 28/02/2010 18:52

I agree - besides, everyone knows formula feeding is just as good

ImSoNotTelling · 28/02/2010 19:39

I like your style nancy

2shoes · 28/02/2010 19:46
