...to think that a man who "doesn't drive" is not remotely sexy

AnyFucker · 30/01/2010 19:29

I saw this on another thread (doesn't matter which) and didn't want to hijack it with my silly ramblings

but, I can't imagine being with a man who "doesn't drive" (disabilities notwithstanding)

just someone too lazy to learn, who would let their OH chauffeur them around

there is something very appealing (sexy) about a man who drives well

mind you, I have a thing about a well-shaped wrist on a man , and driving in short sleeves shows that off to perfection

am I showing my age here ?

adn i got the " hwat if he ahd special needs"
and who wants to pollute

and so on

its all shit
every single person who pretends they arent hhapy driving is a self deluding deludoid

ElenorRigby · 30/01/2010 20:45

Fucking hell AnyF what a fucking soft shite bugger of a stance.
Softfuck
Seriously though what load of rubbish!

Blu · 30/01/2010 20:45

I mean, I can understand that ther are aspects of driving (wrists etc) that are sexy - but if you were to find a man truly sexy, great bod, great laugh, intelligent, charmoing, smitten with you, and you with him, and then discover he didn't drive, you could no longer find him 'remotely sexy'?

tell me - does the fact that your DH/DP/OH (whatever you call them)

affect his performance in bed?
affect the way he treats you
affect the way he shares the housework/childcare

No? Then it makes sod all difference whether he can drive or not (of course if the fact that he can't drive affects his performance in the first on that list then he's got to go )

expatinscotland · 30/01/2010 20:47

'I know this guy,
he drives a truck.
He can't tell time
But he sure can drive . . . '

Goblinchild · 30/01/2010 20:47

You posted twice without any editing?
What's with that Joanie?

AnyFucker · 30/01/2010 20:47

expatinscotland · 30/01/2010 20:48

'Sex appeal is about much more than a driving license. '

Exactly! I mean, what if he drives a wussy car.

HelloThisIsJoanie · 30/01/2010 20:49

"tell me - does the fact that your DH/DP/OH (whatever you call them)

er DUR YES!
because he can travel and DO stuff and collect kids and help out

course it improves htings

Nancy66 · 30/01/2010 20:49

Expat - you're right. A man in a Smart car...yuk

brimfull · 30/01/2010 20:52

also women who never get petrol ,always get their dh to do it??

I have come across this a few times recently

weird

ToccataAndFudge · 30/01/2010 20:52

well I don't drive (did have lessons - and wasn't that far off taking my test - but hated it and as soon as I got an excuse to quit did),

I can travel and DO stuff and collect kids and whatnot

ThePinkOne · 30/01/2010 20:53

DH was lent a smart car by the garage when his car was in. He was mortified!!! And he's over 6 foot and a fairly solid guy. Oh how I laughed He said it was like riding a rollerskate!

dizzydixies · 30/01/2010 20:53

lol at Anyfucker and Expat

I saw DH driving his work car today in his uniform and now that I think about it I was immediately 17yrs old again grinning like a silly girly at him - even better than just the tanned arm/wrist/headrest

LetThereBeRock · 30/01/2010 20:54

AnyFucker · 30/01/2010 20:56

Doesn't drive just reminds me of Sensitive Ponytail Man.

Turns out I had bigger cajones than he did so things didn't work out.

ImSoNotTelling · 30/01/2010 21:01

Being able to drive an articulated lorry might pique my interest.
Or heavy plant.
Riding a powerful motorbike.
Operating heavy machinery of some other kind.
Doing something heavy and sweaty outside - weilding an axe or a sledgehammer or something.

Yes.

Driving a car. Well, no. It's just not very interesting. Most people can drive a car. The sight of a bog standard bloke reversing a punto does not cause knicker-wetting excitement.

expatinscotland · 30/01/2010 21:04

'The sight of a bog standard bloke reversing a punto does not cause knicker-wetting excitement.'

No, it doesn't for me, either.

But not being able to drive sort of wets my noodle, IYKWIM.

Now gimme someone who can parallel park super well . . .

Mumcentreplus · 30/01/2010 21:07

Driving is not a prerequisite of my love..how silly

Are men sexier who drive?..well judging by the state of some of the taxi drivers I use ...erm..NO
