What ho!

Umami · 18/01/2010 18:17

Would you like a soothing linctus for that cough, Maiden Hully?

Umami · 18/01/2010 18:18

(I was going to go with "Dear insane people on the 'Dear insane people on the good point on a thread thread' thread")

Umami · 18/01/2010 18:19

Oh, and YANBU. Let's 'ave 'er.

I have been yearning for you all...

Umami · 18/01/2010 18:22

Anon.

I do hope Mimi has been able to follow us here from Cairo, for we are sore in need of her summarising and narrative consistency skills, accomplished lady that she is.

PrincessFiorimonde · 18/01/2010 19:32

Oh no! not again!

Where are we going now?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 18/01/2010 19:33

Heeellooooooooo

Tried to drag self away. Can't resist coming back and talking bollocks (also, gets a little bit excited about all the sexual innuendo).

Hullygully · 18/01/2010 19:37

We are going to hunt down the Queen of the Huns, apparently in Mongolia after a narrow escape from the dragoons. But we can't leave without Mimi, Gibbon and Pag - there wouldn't be nearly enough hot innuendo.

Hullygully · 18/01/2010 19:38

And Molly (although a bit of a flibbertigibert). And anyone else who might care to join us on our quest.

I think we arrived in Luxor, met Howard Carter and Rosetta Stone and all got married in the space of one post. Nobody knows who is married to whom - we await clarification on this point. Exploration of tombs/ curse of the mummy/ King Tut's riches were thrown over in favour of a brief but violent altercation between Pram Huns and Dragoons.

Hullygully · 18/01/2010 20:40

We had to charge to Luxor en camel as were being chased by a gang of pram huns also en camel desperate to inflict their wisdom on baby Nigel (Gibbon's). The dragoons turned by led by Fitzy and we routed them but the Queen escaped, suspected by the Widow to be in Mongolia.

We are all married, but no one is sure who ended up maried to whom as it was a bit of a rush job..

So, what ladies have we?

Maiden Hully
Pag of the alluring looseness
Teasel-haired Molly, Lammas-dancing wench
Tether of the Fez, possibly also still with child?
Mlle Mimi Defarge
Dear Gibbon, plus Nigel
Possibly evil Princessa Fiorimonde Aida
MsMary, pamphleteer
Minty, who may or may not be inhabiting Darcy's body, which could complicate things on the marriage front.
Shodan, though I think possibly she remains in Cairo.
The widow Umami

And Gentlemen:

Captain Darcy (is he still alive, I cannot remember?)
Fitzy
Lester
James
Abercrombie
Sheik D'jbouti
Rochester
Larry Hagman
Hercule Poirot

Have I forgotten anyone?
I detect a surfeit of ladies. And I suspect Larry and Hercule may not have taken part in the nuptials. Who can be married to whom? Hully is, I believe, a Mormon of some sort, so perhaps she has entered into a polygamous relationship?

CaptainDarcyCasuabonHenchard · 18/01/2010 21:00

Sigh!

That lovely termagent maiden Hully! That pneumatic Pag! That goer feisty Widow Umami! That bodice-ripper Molly! That beautiful Gibbon, mother of my child! That ripplingly muscled Jamie!

All gone, all gone from me!

Thank fuck God they're gone!

Dash it, who knows what the new day will bring ...
