To thin my 'friends' shouldn't really have been bitching about what I wore to go sledging on Saturday?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 12:46

I've just got one of those accidentally forwarded emails (at least I ope it was accidental)

I went sledging with an old uni friend , her friends and all of our DC's we had a really fab day.

Now reading this 11 reply long email laughing about what I wore.

I have no idea how I should respond but I damn well want them to know I have seen it.

Of course they are horrible, nasty, mean ad bitchy....

But I have to say ...tights? . Really? With a skirt? I assumed you were wearing them under your trousers or something. Have you never heard of piles my lovely? And my mother would have something to say re your kidneys and keeping them covered up.

I will have to sit and worry about your health now

ChickensHaveFrozenNuggets · 11/01/2010 13:11

Oh, yes, save your bitchiness for when they have to actually face you. Mwahahahahaha!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 13:11

But yes fab idea - maybe just an email

'I wonder if you realise this has been sent as a group email? If so you can fuck the fuck of.

If not you can also fuck the fuck off'

OP posts:
ajandjjmum · 11/01/2010 13:11

Maybe

At least I'm not shallow enough to bitch behind people's backs -

Nor thick enough to send emails to unintended receipients.

LouLouH · 11/01/2010 13:12

perfectly reasonable attire, and justified reasoning for wearing it. Better than going home on public transport looking like you've pissed yourself!

OrmIrian · 11/01/2010 13:12

Oohhh.... that's OK then. I will stop fretting.

Starbear · 11/01/2010 13:12

DWP have you thought of picking up the phone and speaking to one of them, that you thought was a close friend, or are they not really close?

Heqet · 11/01/2010 13:12

Please do the dignified "I think this email was sent to me in error" (or words to that effect) and then come back and tell us the grovelling emails you get in reply

I never said anything
I wasn't meaning you
I'm sorry, I'd had a couple of drinks
I'm the one who made sure you got it -I'm your only real friend

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 11/01/2010 13:12

How on Earth could that have been sent to you accidentally? Wouldn't one of them have had to have added you to the email list?

Horrible and stupid things to have said. I would go with Heqet's suggestion, "I have clearly been sent this in error, TDWP"

That'll get them squirming.

ChickensHaveFrozenNuggets · 11/01/2010 13:12

Ooh, liking that last one

bamboostalks · 11/01/2010 13:13

How upsetting and hurtful. You should do what everyone says and send the shortest of replies and then wait to see. It is so nasty though, they are jealous though, have no doubt. You must have looked fab.

ChickensHaveFrozenNuggets · 11/01/2010 13:13

I meant ajandjjmum's suggestion. Damn this thread is zipping along!

Blackduck · 11/01/2010 13:13

No Devil, don't lower yourself with the sweary stuff (gives them the out). Take the moral high ground and just say Sorry, I seem to have been sent this email by mistake....and let them squirm.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 13:14

They are not very close no.

I'm sending the 'sorry this has been sent to me in error' as we speak.

I promise to report back!

Though I imagine they will all just cringe then forget it.

OP posts:
ajandjjmum · 11/01/2010 13:15

You mustn't apologise!!! Get rid of the sorry!

You've got proper friends without that bunch.

LouLouH · 11/01/2010 13:15

I know the moral highground is the right option. But i would have to vent my anger and would abuse the keys on the keyboard with the anger in which i would reply.

CrackersInBed · 11/01/2010 13:16

"I seem to have been sent this email in error. However, I appreciate your concern and would like to reassure you that my fanny remained warm and dry at all times."

pagwatch · 11/01/2010 13:16

yes TDWP Please please do the dignified one

Just alongthe lines of " I am sorry but this appears to have been sentto be me error. I noticed my name in the body of the text so read it when clearly I was not amongst the intended recipients. I would not normally read private emails as that would obviously be very bad manners"

The more polite you are without being sarky the worse they will feel - I promise you. Throwing fuck off will make them justify themselves. The better you behave the worse they feel

DoingTheBestICan · 11/01/2010 13:16

I am betting that not one of them will reply to you.

Bitches!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 13:16

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch we were emailig together to arrange going out , plan was for a meal but with the sudden snow we decided on sledging. Then some must have thought they were just replying to each other. That's the only reason I think.

I doubt I was maliciously added (hope)

OP posts:
MrsChemist · 11/01/2010 13:17

Heqet's words are wise.

You should let us know what they say in return, so we can have a jolly good laugh.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 11/01/2010 13:18

That's alright then! I was worried it was a conversation that you'd been suddenly added to. Sounds a lot more accidental. They probably thought they were being funny rather than nasty.

Wot a load of twats.

cheesesarnie · 11/01/2010 13:21

be better than them, dont lower yourself.

btw did you 'get a really cold fanny'

id be tempted just to reply. 'my fanny was fine thankyou' and nothing else.

teehee

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 11/01/2010 13:22

I forgot to mention my boots are big docker ones from the 90's proper stompers, not delicate kitten heeled suede affairs.

They are cows.

Still refreshing my inbox hoping for replies.

I wish i was on facebook at times like this....

OP posts:
midnightexpress · 11/01/2010 13:22

They must be pretty dumb if none of them has yet realised that you've been added in and seen fit to apologise to you.

Not sure that I'd reply at all actually.
