I've just got one of those accidentally forwarded emails (at least I ope it was accidental)

I went sledging with an old uni friend , her friends and all of our DC's we had a really fab day.

Now reading this 11 reply long email laughing about what I wore.

I have no idea how I should respond but I damn well want them to know I have seen it.

If you sqint at it, it looks like she has a massive hairy lady garden.

I reckon she's got a super gorgeous bloke and the mates are jealous! So have to make themselves feel better at any opportunity. F**k em, sad bitches!

Well, I think you should do the simple dignified response. Any attempt by you to be bitchy will lessen their guilt at what they said about you. (people are funny like that!)

LOL, least you had tights on? I used to get stick for not wearing trousers and it wasn't because I was shallow, I couldn't find them to fit

Are they expressing shock at you wearing tights because you never wear them, or because you were wearing a skirt and not trousers?

Shallow for wearing tights - how odd...

I know several ladies who never seem to wear trousers and to be honest i'm at how they manage to look so stylish when my wardrobe consists of several pairs of jeans and a skirt i will never wear...wouldn't know where to start....

I would reply with a short email back saying i think you have sent me this by mistake,sorry i read it before i realised it wasnt meant for me.

Definitely sounds like they're jealous of you from that email. You've obviously got a great set of pins and they can't handle it.

Odd also that they are bitching about what you were wearing, and then in the same sentence called you shallow.

FWIW, what the hell is wrong with wearing tights & skirt to do anything? I must have missed some of the special advisory notices from the fashion police....

I was wearing

2 pairs of opaque purple tights with cycling shorts underneath

Knee length grey leather boots

Black shellsuit material short dress (sounds naff but it isn't)

Many layers under the dress (long sleeved top, umper, vest)

And a leather jacket

I am sorry but I am not an outdoors type and will not waste money on 'outdoor' clothing.

My reasoning is (and I was right) the tights will dry much faster than jeans or such would.

Hence I was fairly warm and dry, whilst they had to get on the tube home with wet bum patches on their jeans/ cords.

How bizarre! Why does wearing tights make you shallow?
