I just can't stay away from AIBU....it's a more compulsive and shameful addiction than reading the Daily Mail online; same sense of barely-suppressed hatred and scorn, same vicious female bitchiness and judgemental outrage.

Happy New Year all of you...

I think people are perhaps mixing up bullying in the form of a sustained vendetta, which is unacceptable, and disagreeing robustly with people, calling them out on particularly stupid posts, which is perfectly reasonable. It is quite often true that the more stupid a poster's comments, the more likely that poster is to throw a hissy fit when his/her idiocy is pointed out and complain that anyone who disagrees with him/her is a bully.

If you read all of my post, you would see I was saying in theory by the example given, so theoretically speaking, as both are against the law,if convicted, and also take the same stance

Juts because YOU are thick skinned does not makes everybody else! some people deal with things differently, its all very well say tell them to Fook off, but how many times does that individual have to say it, when all the bullies does want is empowerment over her victim!

Which is why, if you read the second part of my post, I said sorry for sounding 'I'm alright Jack-ish'.

LeQ: Well, quite - I have no problem disagreeing with people (and wandering off from my laptop muttering '[MNer] for example, is a twat' and then finding myself on another thread with the same person having a jolly chat about cooking or Phil Rickman novels or something.

LittleMrsHappy · 07/01/2010 14:12
