That's just reminded me of a little girl I used to look after at nursery called B'ree.

Not Bree, but Bee-ree.

I hope some one did point it out, or that girl will spen the rest of her life having to correct people who call her Kleeeeee.

Numberfour · 10/12/2009 13:57

LastTrainToNowhere · 10/12/2009 14:34

The poor girl. Talk of a life sentence

BackUpYourPhotosNow · 10/12/2009 14:36

I really hope her surname isnt nex....

Blu · 10/12/2009 14:46

I blame JMe.

chegirlwithbellson · 10/12/2009 14:46

they are not allowed to tell you how to spell names at the reg.office.

So I think K'lee it is

lemonadesparkle · 10/12/2009 15:01

When I was in hospital having had ds3 the doctor was filling in paperwork for the baby opposite. He asked the mum the child's name and then asked her how it was spelled to which she replied "Eeeeee I divvn't really na, have a look in them cards coz they've got his name in 'm. He's named after the footballer" Surely you should at least know how to spell the name you are giving your child

YANBU in hoping that someone advises them of the correct spelling, if they were discussing it it sounds as if they really didn't know and weren't simply joining the ranks of parents naming their children everyday names but spelled bizarrely unusually

I used to work on a council estate doing community work there were some shockers around there.

One family had two boys and a girl:
"Govener", "Box" and "Princess".

No lie.

lolapoppins · 10/12/2009 15:22

"Box"?

Wow. I think I have heard it all now.

Bigbadmummy · 10/12/2009 15:25

There were twins that auditioned on X Factor once and they brought in their birth certificates to show that they were indeed called "one" and "two"

My God Daughter is called Abbey-Gayle.

Pure bloody madness.

belgo · 10/12/2009 15:33

I blame KT Tunstall

darcymum · 10/12/2009 15:37

Isn't it illegal to call children numbers? As it is to call the f*wit?

rubyslippers · 10/12/2009 15:39

@ belgo

GrendelsMum · 10/12/2009 15:40

Klee, after the painter, surely? She'll grow up to be an art critic.

Oh well, I'm sure she can just adjust it as she likes when she gets older - I know at least one K-leigh who had adjusted it to Kay by the time she was 9.

lolapoppins · 10/12/2009 15:44

darcymum - there are a couple of celebs who have named their kids 'Seven'. The singer from Outcast and some rapper.

darcymum · 10/12/2009 15:52

Did you here about that girl in New Zealand I think, taken into care because her parents would not change her name? Tullola does the hola in Hawaii, I think she was called.

starlight99 · 10/12/2009 15:54

No, but I heard about a couple in New Zealand wanting to call their DS "4real" they weren't allowed as it had a numeral, so they called him "superman".
Poor kid

darcymum · 10/12/2009 15:56

I also heard the judge asked parents to please reconsider before calling children stupid names. Twins Benson and Hedges and the most unfortunately named of them all, 79 Bus Shelter, (I kid you not) couldn't agree more.

LadyVolupta · 10/12/2009 16:05

yes, but arent all these parents wanting to call their offsprings these ridiculous names, CHAVS....its suits them..at least them we can spot them more easily??????...(expecting bad comments)

darcymum · 10/12/2009 16:06

Good point.

starlight99 · 10/12/2009 16:07

to LadyV

Chavs? I don't know. Attention seekers, yes!

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 10/12/2009 16:09

Someone I used to know called their daughter KT.

I spent ages asking how she was going to spell it thinking Katy or Katie and she just keot saying KT. Then the penny dropped and I picked myself up off the floor.

LadyVolupta · 10/12/2009 16:12

Have you ever noticed how some kids want to spell their own names in a differant way when they reach their teens,...It would be sooo funny if all these wrongly spellt named kids wanted to spell their names the correct way!!!...hahaha...

LadyVolupta · 10/12/2009 16:16

and I cant spell
