to be miffed that dd2's teacher says 'anyfink'?

dd2 came home the other day saying that her teacher had said 'anyfink' and 'that wasn't right was it'?

I said that it wasn't right.

She's a primary school teacher fhs. She should be able to pronounce words properly

LOL@ snob. I would simply prefer that my child was taught by someone who knew the difference between standard and colloquial English. Not too much to ask methinks.

What about someone who knows the difference but chooses to use a pronunciation you don't like? Heh heh.

Surely what matters is the the quality of the teaching. The way the teacher pronounced "anything" is not important IMO. It's not as if she swore at the kids. She merely mispronounced a word.
