We have a lovely DS but he is very hard work.

This pregnancy has been so so so different and DH had his heart set on a girl........we are having another boy.

We are so lucky to be having a healthy baby and I am sure DH will get over it. The thing is everyone keeps saying "oh I bet you would love a girl, oh it must be you have been so ill, your so much rounder this time" etc etc etc.

I do feel a bit sad, I keep thinking about ballet classes and doing hair for school etc and a little like I'm missing out

Its terrible to feel like this I know I am BU.

Closet feminist

NotanOtter · 29/09/2009 20:34

maybe if people had talked 'to' all the male offenders rather than feigning interest and "yawning" - they would be the Nelson Mandela s of this world

lovechoc · 29/09/2009 20:34

wondering how a woman can let a man near her when he was once a teen who stank of BO and semen, and had terribly boring conversations...

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:38

Because my man outgrew it. I imagine if I'd met my partner aged 12 he'd have bored me senseless.

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 20:39

Have just been wondering how Jude is married to a dirty/boring/smelly /sex offending/violent/Criminal Man as I was doing some "womens work" and putting a wash on.
Great minds, eh?

Lizzylou · 29/09/2009 20:41

How interesting do you think any 12 years are? If they are pigeon holed/ignored/barely tolerated, Jude?

yep, quite interesting that...

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:44

That's right. I fancy men, enjoy their company but have no desire to rear a boy. Freaking crazy eh?

vickiadele · 29/09/2009 20:44

Wow jude68, what a bitch, so a topic about baby boys turn to murderers and paedo's, i think you have issues you need to address, i lived with a paedo all my childhood but im not bitter against men and especially not babies and children, you need help

lovechoc · 29/09/2009 20:45

Jude reminds me of myself in several other threads where I tend to be in the minority of opinion. But with this topic, it's idiotic to try and go against the grain because it's a no-brainer. Boys are just the best!

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:46

And I'm sure if Ian Bradey's mother hadn't smiled indulgently and pretended to listen to the same boring story for the umpteenth time he wouldn't have grown up to torture and murder children. I blame the mothers.

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:48

I'm making a point that statistically the male species are more violent and more likely to abuse children. Does anyone want to contradict that?

Your tarring all men with the same brush, Myra Hindley, think you forgot that one!

NotanOtter · 29/09/2009 20:51

Myra was a dainty little girl once

lovechoc · 29/09/2009 20:51

women can be paedos too, Jude. It's not as commmon but it can happen. Why try and dig a deeper hole for yourself.

lovechoc · 29/09/2009 20:52

Rose West ring any bells??? No?

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:53

Lizzy, my step-sons are not ignored or pigeon holed. They are not remotely aware that I am bored by their chat...I feign shock/horror at their stories (which they hope will shock) and they love it. They have no idea I'm yawning inside. For the millionth time, they are sociable, happy kids. I guess none of you are ever, ever bored by anything your kids talk about. You know what, you are all liars! And yes, if my girls grow up obsessed with PC games about killings, war or Star Wars I'll be bored to tears by them too.

scottishmummy · 29/09/2009 20:53

jude it is really bad taste to discuss a psychopathic serial murderer within this context.a damaged and cruel man who brutalised children has no place in discussion of loved, valued sons

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:54

Yup...Rose West and Myra Hindley are in the minds of the public BECAUSE they were women and it was deemed as hideously shocking for a WOMAN to commit such crimes....we kind of expect men to.

Jude68 · 29/09/2009 20:56

Go and report me then scottishmummy....think I've had enough now anyway.
