to wonder why another MNer would randomly send me a CAT message asking me to indulge in slagging off other threads?

Never heard of this MNer before (but then I have only been around here for a year and regularly posting for about 6 months). Claims to be posting under a new name but was previously someone else on here - whose name I have seen on threads - and asks me to indulge in some slagging off of threads. Ignored message and then find myself being referred to as "poncetastic" on a thread I posted. Can accept the accusation....probably am a bit poncetastic at times....but all seems very strange "coincidence".

AIBU to wonder question posted in title of thread?

AIBU to think this is pathetic behaviour?

AIBU to think that this kind of trolling etc happens all too often on MN?

(am trying to steer clear of starting a thread about a thread issues here ).

KingRolo · 23/07/2009 13:53

Susie Garner made me buy my Per Una jacket too... the bitch.

PortBlacksandResident · 23/07/2009 13:53

"fucking nora

I have been here years and i clearly know nothing.

Do people really post a bit on threads and then go off to bitch about the posters on them via cat or whatever?
Really?

I am going off MN a bit. " - By Pagwatch.

Glad it's not just me - don't know what it says about me but i'm actually quite surprised. I don't know any MNers in RL i don't think and no one i know in rl is on here as far as i know.

I just thought we were a bunch of strangers ambling along. Now i'm beginning to understand a bit more about the moldies thing - i ignored it at the time.

Tight skinny grey jeans and black knee length tight zippy boots is my winter uniform!

Hmm I did used to MSN to VVQV about three years ago when she was bored at work of an evening

I've exchanged about ten emails with cod about moldies back in December 2008 which are largely me screaming ARGH

various ones where I attempt to meet up with Mumsnetters last year before the party, mainly talking about train times

Then some with Aitch where we are going "Is X so-and-so?" and "WHAT?" they are not very coherent

Some with sophable which is just me saying "I love you so much, you're so pretty, can I stroke your hair?"

And about 400 with justabout about matters of anglican theology

I think that's about it

does that reassure anyone

tamarto - I am trying to teach her to say "please" so have to accede to her requests too, except when she says "can i have the knife please"

Does torso of the week wear crocs?

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/07/2009 13:55

seriously, people can say whatever they like about me offline, would so not be bothered, am surprised people would find it a big deal tbh

KingRolo · 23/07/2009 13:56

I always imagine MN meet ups with everyone wearing the same Boden raincoat and that MN hairstyle where you chop it off in a ponytail.

kathyis6incheshigh · 23/07/2009 13:57

MP did Sophable change the subject firmly but elegantly?

Tamarto · 23/07/2009 13:57

lol I remember when DD was small and she asked very nicely for daddys hammer, she was most unamused when i said no as she'd said 'please and everything'

morningpaper · 23/07/2009 13:58

Fanjo - it just seems a bit gutless and it doesn't give the slagee the opportunity to defend themselves, which is unfair.

kathyis6incheshigh · 23/07/2009 13:59

I expect his internet is down. He will be delighted when it is working again and he gets them all at once.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 23/07/2009 14:00

Spawnchorus - it is just human nature, at my work people CONSTANTLY talk about the others behind their back, its not nice but it happens IRL and here, sadly. Obviously I never hear them talking about ME but I just assume they do and try to forget about it, its the same on here.

TutTutter · 23/07/2009 14:02

mwah

GetOrfMoiLand · 23/07/2009 14:02

When did this place turn into Prisoner Cell Block H, btw?

SpawnChorus · 23/07/2009 14:03

Well it's not my nature. And that is why I had such a shit time at all girls' boarding school.

Spawn - I do sympathise, I was bullied throughout school too. I do still care what people think, in fact I was stressed out all morning as I just KNOW one of the mums at toddler group didnt like me.

Tortington · 23/07/2009 14:06

set square i never mentioned or intimated this had anything to do with moldies
