...........I cannot keep up.

active convos are whizzing ppast so quickly I am missing if someone comes on a thread I have started/replied on until ages after, and then I fear people think I am being rude if I don;t reply/respond.

MN is fab, really it is, but when I come here for some light relief/downtime/soothing-like-minded-chat, I want to feel as tho I am contributing to it, or even > being acknowledged as a decent member.

and on a friday, it all moves so damn fast, it feels as tho I am swimming (well, fighting more like) against the current.

arse... got distracted by mN (again, story of my life) and forgot i was in the middle of tidying up! have done a quick run around now... kids'll only destroy it again 20 seconds after waking up so refusing to feel guilt at the half assed job i've done

could do with a cuppa and a smoke now but the tea slave aka dp isn't here [grump]

ingles2 · 22/05/2009 21:54

I'm trying to have a quiet night in with the wine and MN and then my DM wants a long chat... am going to read now

PinkTulips · 22/05/2009 21:58

kerry... seriously... shuddup about the holiday before i pack the kids in the car and come down there and slap you

am peeved.... my one break since having kids is going to be the wedding next month... which i'll have to bring ds2 to with me as i haven't yet managed to convince dp to lactate. yet he's going to the prodigy gig next month, is gone this weekend, was gone for a night last weeek and in the last 4 years since we've had kids has fecked off every 4/5 months to his parents for the weekend to be mollycoddled by the mammy while i deal with the kids.

WHEN THE FUCK DO I GET A CUNTING BREAK THEN????!!!!

KingCanuteIAm · 22/05/2009 21:58

ingles2 · 22/05/2009 22:01

Trinity... the plant is downstairs in the ships hold. We bought one called plantimus stupendous or something but it looks pretty dull to me. DS2 is hoping it does something fantastic!
Christ alive at that Rabbit Shineon! give it to me, I can liberate it with the other million rabbits in my garden eating my lettuce. either that or I'm pretty good at rabbit stew you are welcome to come and share him it
Are you going on holiday on your own Kerry?

psychomum5 · 22/05/2009 22:03

I haven't slept fr more than 4(usually 3) hours in a chunk for the last four and a bit years...
I know its my fault because I bf on demand and beleive that it is important as a comfort but still

its hard

I also have not had any child free time for four and a bit years till three weeks ago when gecko started going once a week to playgroup for 1 and a half hours but I only enjoyed last weeks and she cried each time before that

Where are you going then?

ingles2 · 22/05/2009 22:11

you know it's going to be abeautifyl bank holidy this weekend... bbc is saying 20 degrees

PinkTulips · 22/05/2009 22:11

holds trinitys hand and starts frantic bhuddist chant to remain calm

(can you chant frantically? )

it'll be fine.... in a few year the little sods will sleep 18 hours a day and we'll need a crowbar to prise them out of bed at 4 in the afternoon

who needs sleep anyway? sleep is for the weak... and the happy... and the content.... and the rested.... and the people who can think and speak simultaneously instead of suttering at people in a sleep deprived haze..................
