For a bit!!

Its time for me to have a break - so im off for a bit!!

I'm taking threads personally when people mean well, finding myself drawn back into arguments that i wouldn't normally have. Barking at well meaning and nice posters when they say stuff i don't want to hear.

So, im going to take a break - not sure if flouncers corner exists or not but im flouncing, with a flick of my badly dyed strawberry (read brassy) blonde locks

Thankyou and goodbye (for now!)

See you tomorrow when the sweat has broken on your brow through wondering whats happening on mn or what you're missing lol

Rhubarb · 11/03/2009 16:23

Aww. You'll get used to it. You do find yourself banging your head on a brick wall at times. These arguments are so frustrating because you may make a really good, valid point, but it gets lost in the murky depths of other posts. Then you get people who've only read the OP and not the responses, or people who just ignore your post entirely!

It's good to take a break sometimes, I've done it often enough. Hopefully you'll come back refreshed and ready for yet another AIBU thread!

MorrisZapp · 11/03/2009 16:23

A change is a good as a rest, or something!

See you soon.

StealthPolarBear · 11/03/2009 16:23

Come back soon LEM

mollyroger · 11/03/2009 16:31

LEM, sometimes an MN break is very good for clearing your head and focussing on RL stuff. And you come back feeling all fluffy for a while

Doodle2U · 11/03/2009 16:33

I got to this point a month or so back LEM - break does you good and you come back more up for it. Enjoy!

Rhubarb · 11/03/2009 16:33

Radio 4!

Habbibu · 11/03/2009 16:36

Let her go - she'll be venting her rage in the dairy goods aisle of your local Waitrose if not given the space to calm down, you mark my words.

See you soon, LEM - enjoy the break.

trixymalixy · 11/03/2009 16:39

Why don't you just stop posting on AIBU? I've read a couple of your threads recently on here where you have expected everyone to come back saying YANBU and then gone in a huff when not everyone has agreed with you.

Don't post on AIBU if you can't deal with not everyone agreeing with you. They're not being bitches just expressing their opinion!

come back just avoid aibu.

Morloth · 11/03/2009 16:50

The internet is a craaazy place where people say all sorts of stuff, best to just let it slide right off.

If you can't do that then it is definitely a good idea to take a break.

Peachy · 11/03/2009 16:52

Take care LEM,youve had a rough time, come back when youre stronger

(willtype dont forget to close the dorr but ony its tradition, nothing more )

Soend the time wisely, get a border collie or summat

Notalone · 11/03/2009 17:01

Aw - I will miss ya LEM. you gave me some good holiday advice. Hope you are ok and refreshed when you return xx

screamingabdab · 11/03/2009 17:02

LEM I am quite new to MN, and you strike me as a very kind lady.

Maybe when you come back only start non-controversial threads (like "AIBU or does a bear shit in the woods?", "AIBU or are kittens cute?" ..."AIBU or is the Pope a Catholic?").

Hope your DD feels a bit better today

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/03/2009 17:03

LEM - don't go. Just spend a few minutes reading the (genius) crap tips thread and you will realise that you couldn't possibly do without MN.

Just keep off AIBU for a bit and have some fun.

AitchTwoOh · 11/03/2009 17:04
