For a bit!!

Its time for me to have a break - so im off for a bit!!

I'm taking threads personally when people mean well, finding myself drawn back into arguments that i wouldn't normally have. Barking at well meaning and nice posters when they say stuff i don't want to hear.

So, im going to take a break - not sure if flouncers corner exists or not but im flouncing, with a flick of my badly dyed strawberry (read brassy) blonde locks

Thankyou and goodbye (for now!)

LEM, Is this what you are trying to say?
'My house is a tip, I've neglegted the sprog(s)
and no one is agreeing with my pearls of wisdom.'

ScottishMummy · 11/03/2009 19:11

LEM,thing about AIBU is they are a straight talkin destination.dont post if you cant tolerate divergence.so if it makes you nippy sweetie, step back.come back when you want, for more of the same

AnyFucker · 11/03/2009 20:07

ohhhhh, who will I talk dirty with if you go ?????

boo hoo

never mind, come back when you are ready with some more filthy talk womanly advice.......

Monkeytrousers1 · 11/03/2009 20:19

People who think they are 'straight talkers' are usually, in my experience, loud mouth arseholes. We can all be arsey at times but people seem to take it up to a different level on AIBU.

slayerette · 11/03/2009 20:19

I am always admiring of those who announce a flounce (see what I did there? ) - what if you said you were flouncing and everyone said 'Great, fine, don't let the door hit you on the way out...'

Monkeytrousers1 · 11/03/2009 20:21

Slayer, how much does MN mean to you? How long have you been around? How do you feel about the aquaintences you have made on here? Have you ever flounced?

""

If you don;t know then why the fuck are you here?

tiredsville · 11/03/2009 20:34

Slayer

slayerette · 11/03/2009 20:46

God, monkeytrousers, what a bad-tempered attack!

I see tiredsville understands my post so am relieved that it's not me but you with the problem, monkeytrousers. But for those who can't manage subtlety or humour, the point of my post was to highlight my own insecurities on MN; my own anxieties that if I were to flounce, no-one would notice or care.

So why the fuck don't you try reading posts properly, monkeytrousers?

slayerette · 11/03/2009 20:48

Now LEM I will miss - I enjoy her posts. Others - not so much.

cornsilk · 11/03/2009 20:49

Wasn't slayerette kidding?

ScottishMummy · 11/03/2009 20:50

I fear monkeytroosers is being a straightalker and a bit crabbit too

But it is AIBU,so hey ho

cornsilk · 11/03/2009 20:51

You okay slayer?
Hope to see you soon LEM.

AnyFucker · 11/03/2009 20:51

oi, you bickering lot!

this is LEM's flouncing thread and you are nicking it

make your own thread !

ScottishMummy · 11/03/2009 20:53

Ach but it isnt a real AIBU until someone brawls and gets worng end of the stick

noonki · 11/03/2009 20:56

LEM - Go and rest, reaquaint yourself with the family,

and come back to defend those that need it. i was impressed with you on the teenager thread the other day so hope to see you soon

slayerette · 11/03/2009 20:57

Thank you, cornsilk - I am ok, just genuinely didn't think my post could be seen as a comment on LEM who I will miss. It was what I (half-jokingly) imagined other MNetters saying about me if I flounced.

cornsilk · 11/03/2009 21:01

I understood your post slayer, I'm sure LEM will.

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/03/2009 21:01

Take care, LEM. Enjoy your break - but you know it will only be 5 minutes short lived, don't you?!

BouncingTurtle · 11/03/2009 21:07

Come back soon! You are part of the furniture here, you know LEM!

(I'll give her 4 3 2 days before she's back with huge withdrawal symptons!)

You could just try hiding the whole of AIBU... I don't think 'tis good for your stress levels, ducky.

ScottishMummy · 11/03/2009 21:15

MN furniture!haha what piece would LEM chose?id be Chaise Longue by Le Corbusier LC04

tiredsville · 11/03/2009 21:17

I think MT is a bit sensitive because she has just recently arrived back (with permanent PMT)after a few weeks of flouncing.

AnyFucker · 11/03/2009 21:17

I would be a boot wiper.

cornsilk · 11/03/2009 21:31

Can I be the PC?

Pan · 11/03/2009 23:16

I would like to be the exquisitely designed and crafted set of utensils please.

ScottishMummy · 11/03/2009 23:24

utensils made by a blind artisan in a fair trade eco commune?or Alessi quirky bling
