literally every mother we meet goes on constantly about how tall or huge or big my DD is. She is 19 months and wears age 2-3 clothes and yes she is tall but shes also very good looking (fact not biast mother!!) and has beautiful long blonde ringlets so its hardly like theres nothing else to say about her... Sometimes I just feel like people are so fucking bitchy and feel very defensive. I dont go round pointing out how short/bald/ugly/scruffy etc other peoples kids are but maybe I should....?

Completely agree with all the tall ladies who've said that they've had their tallness commented on for most of their life. I'm 6 foot and was always the tallest child in my class, which I didn't necessarily enjoy. My 18 month old DD is tall and that is generally the first thing people comment on. I don't think they mean it in a negative way, but I understand that it gets a bit annoying. I think finding something positive about tallness to say back to them is the best idea and your DD will pick up on it, and get the idea that being tall is a good thing.

Okay, if you want a different comment, here goes:

Freaking heck, she's ugly. Did you mate with a moose?

Happy now?

Seriously, though, I'm sure it must be irritating when so many people comment on her height, but it could be much worse. Just chill out and be glad that you have a beautiful, healthy girl.

Liffey - he should be double his two-year-old height as an adult.

DD's very tall too - also incredibly beautiful! - but I'm sure people think she's a very thick 9 year old - she was only 6 in January and is 128cm !
