Spare a thought for those of us who can't even turn to wine to drown our sorrows.

I've been really good, putting on 5 kgs in 6 months of pregnancy. Then had to go and eat three plates of pasta tonight. Felt so guilty that I had to chase it with half a kilo of chunky chocolate chip cookies. Now can't move.

Sorry but herbal stimulants don't sound so scary at this point. Scary is the thought of pushing another 9 pounder out of my fanjo in three months

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 22:02

Oh I would love to give birth again, but I doubt I ever will and that breaks my heart.

CoteDAzur · 17/02/2009 22:03

Are you serious?

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 22:03

I gave birth to a 9lb., 5oz. baby. So where did those 13 friggin' kilos come from?!

My trunk's going to need its own postcode soon enough!

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 22:05

I'm seriously done with giving birth.

That last one did me in. Even with the epidural.

CoteDAzur · 17/02/2009 22:06

After this one, I'm closing shop as well.

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 22:07

Well, DH is closing the door for us .

No more forceps, surprise drug-free deliveries or ventouses.

Ronaldinhio · 17/02/2009 22:14

I want another one but there is no way for me...I'm waiting for all my useless friends to have some for me to goo goo over instead

BitOfFun · 17/02/2009 22:20
Ronaldinhio · 17/02/2009 22:23

what about we pretend for 9 months slobbing about on the sofa eating choc and swigging gaviscon and then get one of those weird creepy lifelike internet dolls and pretend...everyone would be too scared to mention it, non?

BitOfFun · 17/02/2009 22:28

I find it easier to take solace in all the disgraceful things I can do because I'm not pregnant, tbh...

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 22:30

Well for me as we are divorcing, I can't imagine meeting another man who will take on the DC and want one, and tbh, as I had them fairly young I'm looking forward to being young when they flee the nest.

CoteDAzur · 17/02/2009 22:31

Well, I'm still eating chocolate cookies. Pretty disgraceful, with crumbs all over my enormous tummy.

Ronaldinhio · 17/02/2009 22:33

flee the nest...nice picture

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 22:35

I'm sipping pinot grigio and I've got some spring rolls in the oven.

CoteDAzur · 17/02/2009 22:36

TDWP - Good thing you started having babies young. I'm 38, so no babies after this one, realistically speaking. Good luck with your new life. I hope it all works out for you.

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 22:50

I'm 38 in a few days. I was 37 when DS came along, our third.

I wish I'd started ten years earlier (and would have but for my ex h).

I hope my kids have children fairly young.

Mmm, pinot and spring rolls are lurvely.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 22:50

I'm sure they will flee the nest in a rent a van full of boxes with me thrusting blank cheques (just in case) and washing up liquid at them.

Has no-one else noticed that Peachy used the word "frock" Peachy, are you living in the 50's?

Cote, I had another at 39, you have time!
Or would that be un-French?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 22:53

Thankyou cotedazur

It has been hard to reconcile but I can really see myself as a single mother, I may have flings but I feel no drive to provide a father figure.

BitOfFun · 17/02/2009 22:53

A blank cheque would be very helpful...TDWP, I may start calling you Mummy

chipmonkey · 17/02/2009 22:54

Good for you, TDWP, sisters doin' it for themselves and all that!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 23:04

frock is a good word, don't diss it.
