I don't think anyone has ever been nasty or patronizing to me on here...I am feeling quite left out today in thinking it's actually pretty fantastic. What am I doing wrong?

Flightattendant27 · 17/02/2009 17:52

You have great equanimity OP.

Well done for taking it on the chin.

expatinscotland · 17/02/2009 17:52

'I thought women on here were supposed to offer help and support and not behave like a complete bitch.'

Code for: if you don't read my mind and write what I want to read, you're a bitch.

Oh, I like a happy ending...

Expat - she's apologised.

MrsMattie · 17/02/2009 17:53

OK, cheer up then, you misog! @OP

You can always start again. Most seasoned MN-ers have had a good flaming or two. I certainly have. Let's all just draw a line under this and go and eat pancakes.

Sorry if that was patronising, by the way

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 17:54

Oh dear, I posted on there, just gave advice, I hope I wasn't patronising

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 17:54

Don't hug that BoF she's a real hussie

Flightattendant27 · 17/02/2009 17:55

No tDWP nobody thinks you were

OP was just probably premenstrual

Oovavu · 17/02/2009 17:55

if you look back at the adios thread you'll see that two of us have pointed out that adios is 'legal' speed which isn't really the best way to go, imho.

But, hey, take it if you really want to, as it will probably work... and may well give you palpitations and make you very hyper. and as it's not designed for long-term use you'll probably put all the weight back on again. Just looking on the bright side...

KingCanuteIAm · 17/02/2009 17:55

Even better

thefortbuilder · 17/02/2009 17:56

is it really legal speed???

Flightattendant27 · 17/02/2009 17:57

Calm down flick

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 17/02/2009 17:58

Pretty much, as I said my friend is addicted to it, she has constant shakes, has wrecked her back teeth through grinding and can't sleep. It's crazy it can be bought over the counter.

BitOfFun · 17/02/2009 17:59

I belong!

Well done OP (non-patronising tone btw)- fwiw, I spent a couple of years totally hooked on diet pills, which probably wrecked my metabolism and cost me a bloody fortune. I was only able to stop once I discovered cocaine couldn't be arsed about my weight anymore

EricL · 17/02/2009 18:00

Adios is leagl amphetemine?

Really?

Never knew that.

Every day is a school day!

EricL · 17/02/2009 18:00

or even legal

EricL · 17/02/2009 18:00

or eagal

onlywantsone · 17/02/2009 18:01

TheDevilWearsPrimark - I had heard those things about it. I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to ber personally nasty or any thing about you.

Just projected all my disapointment about my day onto that one thread wanting some hope and some good news. I'm just a 60 year old trapped in a 21 year olds body... I'm a grumpy cow tonight

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 17/02/2009 18:03

Stackers, mine were called...they only stopped my appetite for about a week, but I kept taking them because it felt great to be so awake....they definitely gave me palpitations though, so they must be quite nasty.

Oovavu · 17/02/2009 18:04

why do you want to lose weight, op? really?

can't see it myself.

soz - am being patronising
