To think some usernames on here are overly crude?

I've seen some really crude names on here lately.
"AnyFucker" "BodybagMaggots" "sweatyarsecrack" etc

I can't believe that these are women that have chosen these names.

Am I the only one that thinks there is really no need to be so crude?

amusedbush Yes, definitely the one in Canada. I might be a bit obsessed.
I've had wittier usernames, but worried about making other MNers feel inferior so decided to change to this one, factual, inoffensive - if a bit boring.

I don't get much of a chance to make anyone on MN feel inferior - I'm overweight, I own a toilet brush and I don't change my towels and bed sheets whenever someone farts near them. My username is all I have

I think some on here have chosen really offensive names so that their posts can't be swiped by certain tabloid rags?

I met the very lovely ClungeBobSquarePants a good few years ago at a Mumsnet thingy in London and she turned out to be a very softly spoken and lovely librarian

I remember her fondly and the name still makes me chuckle

I like the name ANYFUCKER if it hadn't been taken I'd like to think I'd have come up with it

AnyFucker is genius in its simplicity. It's a brilliant forum username.

Hairyfishypissflaps is revolting! Ha ha. It's always nice when you're replying to someone's comment and you have to include the word Cunt or some other crude word you don't normally use!

I picture the people with the crude names being a bit corpulent. If you don't care about the impression your username conveys, you may not care about shape and slenderness.

You've got it wrong User I gorge on savory treats such as pastys, sausage rolls, Cheetos, Scotch eggs. I can give or take sweets and chocolate.

user1489, there's currently a thread from someone claiming to be a weight loss expert after going fron 8st 12 to 8st 4. That's a much better attempt at weight- based trolling. You can't just jump into any old thread and start accusing people of being fat. We may be mostly women but it simply doesn't work like that. It is lazy. And the meme is so try hard, it's embarrassing and very very Reddit circa 2009.
