Ok so am I or am I being spoilt?

I am angry, 30 wks pregnant and hormonal so don't be too harsh!

Oh and I made a detailed list for him back in November! Although we did only get paid on 20th Dec (Own business, long story, whole other thread!)

I've ordered him to take back everything and he's just gone out now

I have been promised a present when we are back on our feet, but am not that bothered tbh.

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 26/12/2008 13:35

i thikn if you are asked what you want, and then don;t get it, then you can be disappointed , of course, but having a hissy fit and demanding things are returned is rude. if the OPs Dh only got paid 4 days before Xmas, he probably had no time to get the things and came up with something else, rather than nothing

As usual Twinset there is an awful lot of going on. Why do I get the impression your life is one big chandelier swinging session?

TWINSETinapeartree · 26/12/2008 13:41

I met financially on our feet rev

Because it is tiredsville, when you are poor you have to rely on things that are free.

tiredsville · 26/12/2008 13:42

Well she's pregnant Lulumama, she wants to feel special and has her hormones exploding all over the show. I think that warrants being a stroppy cow.

Reallytired · 26/12/2008 13:45

My husband has given me nothing for christmas. He is planning to get me a gift in the sales though.

I am pregnant as well. Maybe I should throw a tantrum as well, but I have to be a bit more adult.

I think the OP should be a bit more grateful and grow up as she is about to have a baby. Learning to be polite when you recieve useless gifts is an important life skill.

TWINSETinapeartree · 26/12/2008 13:47

Tbh OP I am very that you are about to have another baby, that would be my ideal Christmas present.

I am not saying that to make you feel guilty but maybe to help your reflect that you have a lot already.

MillyR · 26/12/2008 13:50

My dh gave me a set of 4 tupperware boxes for christmas.

nametaken · 26/12/2008 13:52

Ah, but did you ask for them Milly

kittywise · 26/12/2008 13:56

pinktree, I've skimmed this quickly so forgive if I've missed the post where you've apologised for your crappy behaviour.

You sound like a very selfish person. pregnancy is no excuse for behaving like a spoilt child. My children would get a real bollocking if they behaved like that. You're lucky he has put up with it

YABU 100%

MillyR · 26/12/2008 13:59

I may have once commented that they were more attractive than run of the mill tupperware.

I do value myself but see no need to spend money on gifts that I do not need especially when money is tight. I would rather spend what spare money we have on good food.

TWINSETinapeartree · 26/12/2008 14:05

I didn;t say she should be grateful for nothing but for lots of people having a baby is a luxury, I know I am one of them.

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 26/12/2008 14:07

well, being pregnant does make you more hormonal and prone to tears. i understand that. but demanding your presents are returned... nah, that is rude !

tiredsville · 26/12/2008 14:09

Yes and having a good shag is a luxury in the tiredsville household.

crispyduck · 26/12/2008 14:12

crispyduck · 26/12/2008 14:13

and a luxury shag too

TWINSETinapeartree · 26/12/2008 14:14

Dp and I have had a very reciprocal this Christmas thanks?

I bought my dp presents as they were things he needed, I however did not need anything so asked dp not to buy me anything. I do not feel hard done by at all.

Crispy the joy of Christmas Eve is that kids go to bed early.
