"something smells funny daddy" - "yes it's your fat stinking bum"

I know iabu and don't care that much really, but I thought this was so sad.

I'm grumpy as I just had to haul the DC (both ill) out in coats over PJ's as the bottle of calpol I thought was unopened is actually ancient and had crystalised (vom)

It smells LOADS like garlic outside (any N Londoners know why, fire in a garlic factory?) and bless the poor girl. She was probably 8 or 9. He followed it up by quite roughly pushing her into their car.

Sigh.

Yawn.

tiredsville · 18/12/2008 21:53

Eh? I'm not with you.

mummiesnet · 18/12/2008 21:55

It's a thread where half of MN are supposed to say what a bastard he is for saying his DD has a fat stinking bum and the other half are supposed to dive in with 'what if he was having a bad day' 'perhaps it was harmless banter' 'who are you to judge?'

Yawn.

DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 21:56

doesnt make sense

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 18/12/2008 21:58

have I been drinking ??????????????

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 18/12/2008 21:58

The op had to go out this evening to get Calpol.

Outside it smells of garlic - apparently because of a fire in a garlic factory

While out she overheard a conversation between a father and daughter

The daughter said something smelled funny, the dad replied saying it was her fat stinking bum.

And them proceeded to push the DD roughly into the car.

CliffRichardSucksEggsInHell · 18/12/2008 21:58

You ok Primark? I think the OP did actually state she was bu but is grumpy and so could probably do with a bit of a hug?

At least he said bum and not arse?

DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 21:58

big fucking deal

whonickedmynickname · 18/12/2008 22:00

gosh - some of you are really not tolerant are you???!!!

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 18/12/2008 22:00

has OP been drinking ???????????????

tiredsville · 18/12/2008 22:02

Oh

CliffRichardSucksEggsInHell · 18/12/2008 22:03

She's having a crap day and needs a break! Doesn't matter if the OP makes sense or not, it's bleedin' obvious I think, that she just needs a few kind words!

Tidgypuds · 18/12/2008 22:03

I think its funny, its something id say to my Dc

tiredsville · 18/12/2008 22:08

Oh

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:35

Fucking hell you lot are so 'knowing' these days. feck ye with your 'yawns' and the likes.

I thought it was pretty nasty, not my business. I'll forget it.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:36

Oh and the fire in a garlic factory was a joke, it does reek of garlic, no idea why.

devil in primark - i would have thought it rude too - if its any consolation to the intolerant comments of earlier

crokky · 18/12/2008 22:39

I don't know about the man, but I highly recommend the calpol sachets as the bottle is a PITA!

I'm actually pretty bored of seeing so many of these "yawn"/"yadda yadda"/"whatever" type of posts all over mumsnet.

why bother posting anything in reply if the thread bores you so much?

Just cos you're an old has-been who has been around since the old days.......make way for the young whipperp-snappers, I say.

DontEatYellowSnowItsWeebump · 18/12/2008 22:41

mummiesnet, what's with the 'yawn'. If you're not interested don't bother to post. Poor 'Primark (great name btw). You have had a crap day, and it's not nice what he said, but it depends how he said it, really. Could have been funny to him and his daughter?

NCRedBreastedBirdy · 18/12/2008 22:41

Devil, no, it was nasty as are many of the people here. I am not quite sure why they are hanging around if they have seen it all before

fishie · 18/12/2008 22:42

i think the posters with exaggerated ennui are those who are only experiencing it for the first time. those who have managed about 25 rounds are not so fucking rude for no reason.
