"something smells funny daddy" - "yes it's your fat stinking bum"

I know iabu and don't care that much really, but I thought this was so sad.

I'm grumpy as I just had to haul the DC (both ill) out in coats over PJ's as the bottle of calpol I thought was unopened is actually ancient and had crystalised (vom)

It smells LOADS like garlic outside (any N Londoners know why, fire in a garlic factory?) and bless the poor girl. She was probably 8 or 9. He followed it up by quite roughly pushing her into their car.

Sigh.

DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 22:44

OoOhh NCR thinks I am nasty.
Boo hoo

thumbElf · 18/12/2008 22:44

TDWP - sounds horrible - especially to a little girl. Sorry you are having a rough day and that your first responders were so very unpleasant.

fishie · 18/12/2008 22:45

donteat i hope you are right, i have been hearing a lot about stinky bums lately and would be very tempted to reply thus.

i have never found calpol any use with ds, but ibuprofen sachets are fab.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:45

No it wasn't funny she looked really sad. I saw the whole thing as we have very narrow pavements and they were in our way as they got into the car.

well either I'm drunk too (not likely haven't had a drink for weeks) or the OP makes sense.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:46

incoherent and rambling.

Just a normal day for me then.

OP posts:
ScottishMummy · 18/12/2008 22:47

and the garlic?

CharCharGaboriaInExcelsisDeo · 18/12/2008 22:47

I agree that it was a horrible thing to say. Sorry your DC are ill, hope they're better soon

sleepyeyes · 18/12/2008 22:47

I haven't been drunk in years and the OP makes complete sense to me. YANBU what a horrid thing to say to a child.

NCRedBreastedBirdy · 18/12/2008 22:47

It's ok DB, instead of reading the op and responding you can start a fight about something else. I am sure that has never been done before.

If you have nothing to saygo and find a thread that you do have something about! It is the nature of this site that it goes in cycles, devil is not some newbie trying to start a fight.

So, yes, IMO you were being nasty, you don't care about my opinion? Well, boofuckinghoo back at you.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:47

no idea, but seriously it stinks of garlic here today.

you're a twat sometimes aren't you?

TLESinChristmasStockings · 18/12/2008 22:48

It is the kind of thing I would say to ds1 in jest and yes he would see the funny side. Just like i tell him he "stink of kid" and he tells me I "Stink of adult" just banter

DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 22:51

I did respond to the OP DC.
I said ' big deal'
A man says his daughter has a stinky bum'
Call teh NSPCC.

Pantofino · 18/12/2008 22:51

Sorry all - but none of this thread makes any sense whatsoever to me. Sorry if you've had a crap day though DWP

Pantofino · 18/12/2008 22:53

"I'm grumpy as I just had to haul the DC (both ill) out in coats over PJ's as the bottle of calpol I thought was unopened is actually ancient and had crystalised (vom)

Where does the "man" come in? Am I missing something?

tiredsville · 18/12/2008 22:54

Well, I genuinely didn't have a clue what OP was babbling on about earlier.
But the penny has now dropped, soooooo.....YANBU. Stinky arse is fine, but fat or skinny arse is unkind, cos we're getting personal now towards a child.

NCRedBreastedBirdy · 18/12/2008 22:54

Oh, well that is ok then db. Not nasty in any way shape or form, I am so glad that you typify the supportive nature of MN.

Off to bed, sorry for getting narked on your thread Devil, sadly MN seems to have a lot of this going on atm and it is out of order and pointless IMO. I am begining to wonder if it is a new form of trolling, get attention by being nasty/cruel/unnecessary on someone elses thread...

have to apologise as I am giggling here, can't see what the harm is really

DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 22:56

I'm sorry but i dont see why you are all gettingso worked up cos a da said to his daughter ' fat stinky bum'??
This place is crazy

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 18/12/2008 22:57

the man was her daddy, as explained in the thread title. Or do you just randomly click posts?

OP posts:
DoubleBluff · 18/12/2008 22:57

and i am not a troll
I just always suck up to the 'oldies' thats all

whonickedmynickname · 18/12/2008 22:57

devil - just realised that I didn't mention my real concern with what he said and that is that he said her bum was FAT - not a sensible thing to say to a young girl.Sorry i misse dthat earlier - definately not being unreasonable!
