i had a new washing machine deliverd...he asked if he could use my toilet...he was only in my house 10 minutes...can't he wait?

i would never ask if i was a delivery type person..i would go to macdonalds.

i don't like strangers using my bathroom...aibu?

Personally I think so, we all need to pee.

2point4kids · 13/11/2008 11:49

he is most likely on the road all day and only stops for lunch. If you need to go you need to go!

Bubbaluv · 13/11/2008 11:50

So long as he flushed what's the problem? That's what toilets are for no?

hf128219 · 13/11/2008 11:50

I think you are being unreasonable. Poor guy could have been on the road for hours/feeling unwell/wanted to wash his hands etc etc.

Geepers · 13/11/2008 11:50

yabu, are you for real?

You honestly take offense at a delivery man using your lav?

Bubbaluv · 13/11/2008 11:50

If he asked to use your toothbrush then that would be different!

RubySlippers · 13/11/2008 11:51

yabu

cupsoftea · 13/11/2008 11:51

Just put some bleach in it & clean around.

mabanana · 13/11/2008 11:51

Can't he wait for what, exactly? Until he's driven 30 miles back to his depot? We all, as someone else said, need to wee. Poor bloke!

hullygully · 13/11/2008 11:52

I would have said yabu, but recently I had a delivery man with a VERY VERY bad stomach disorder use my loo and frankly it has put me off.

PavlovtheCat · 13/11/2008 11:52

YABU.

hullygully · 13/11/2008 11:52

Actually, I retract that. All stomach disorders unwelcome, his job irrelevant!!

YABU

Would you rather he piss in your garden?

Which professions visiting your house would be allowed to use your loo? I bet if a police officer or a GP on a house call asked you would have no objections.

Is it coz he is a delivery driver?

daftpunk · 13/11/2008 11:55

it's happened a few times..i just think..why me!..how many houses have you been to...i just wanna say no...you can't use my toilet...i have a phobia about it.

VinegarTits · 13/11/2008 11:55

I am very precious about my loo so imo YANBU

especially if he needed a shit

daftpunk · 13/11/2008 11:56

nope...i would feel the same about a police officer.

Wigglesworth · 13/11/2008 11:56

Is his piss not good enough for your shitter? That is a bit mean. What did you think he was gonna do wipe his arse on your guest towel?

jumpingbeans · 13/11/2008 11:57

As long as it was only a wee I would not mind

electra · 13/11/2008 11:57

No, not unreasonable at all imo. You don't know or trust these people.

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 13/11/2008 11:57

Do you realise most courier drivers leave their depots at 8am and don't get back until 5?

And alot take their luch with them, so aren't even stopping at a cafe to eat.

Poor bloke. Hope you let him use it.

daftpunk · 13/11/2008 11:58

yes, but i can't ask what they want to do can i?...maybe i should.

Simplysally · 13/11/2008 11:58

I think it would depend how clean my loo was if I felt offended or not. Knowing my luck there would be dirty washing on the floor and a floater from incomplete flushing sitting in the loo . If it was sparkling clean, then no problems.

morningpaper · 13/11/2008 12:00

yabu you numpty
