stupid or a weirdo. It's really not very nice and it made my son and I really sad to hear this. Also, please do't rush her when she's eating because you have things to do. Telling her to hurry up 7 times in 5 minutes is OTT. Would it have killed you to be patient? It was not as if she was eating slowly though was it? Then you moaned at her for getting chocolate under her fingernails.

I absolutely agree, the little girl shouldn't have had this experience - it is awful. But then, look at the threads on mumsnet, and all the name-calling and intolerance, and its not surprising. I have just read one thread where apparently its fine to let down car tyres because you disapprove of parking etc etc. While adults call other adults names, some adults will do the same with children. I don't mind if I'm flamed at all. I used to find this a supportive site and have been a member (under several names) for at least 5 years. But although there are some really interesting debates, I think I've come to the conclusion that I would be better off doing something else. I've probably put this in the wrong place, but hey-ho, I'm off!!!

I have come to the conclusion that I would be better off doing something else honeyandlemon, it is a real time waster! I think I will give it up as soon as the summer holiday is over! I am surprised that this thread has gone on for so long when it started with a simple comment!
