I have been posting on here for a year or so on and off, but I have never really felt welcome.

No one ever responds to what I write, in fact I have sometimes felt actively ignored.

Now obviously that could be cos I write a load of crap that interests no one

Or it could be that very early on, before I realised how careful you had to be, I had an argument with someone who, it turned out, was a mumsnet superstar.

Am I being paranoid, or do people get unofficialy blacklisted!!

btw have changed my name for this.

Dodn't

Didn't

Teach me to hit the vodka !

Overmydeadbody · 21/08/2008 19:12

there is the private club, and then there is the VIP lounge within it. Only a select few make it past the bouncers.

Overmydeadbody · 21/08/2008 19:13

OP (whatever your name is, I can't remember) if you really want to be noticed, why aren't you even posting on your own thread?

AbbeyA · 21/08/2008 19:16

I think that you are being oversensitive. I don't know anyone in RL. I only reply if the topic interests me and people generally only notice me if they disagree! On the odd occasions that people mention that they agree with me I feel really good!

Flightlite · 21/08/2008 19:16

'Do you seriously think that an arbitary group of people secretly send messages telling hundreds of other women to ignore you because you may have offended someone?
'

Yes Paggy I do, I really do!!!!

But I didn't start this thread.
Bird - I think you have to start threads more, and also tell everyone what you need help with, then they feel you are a 'cause' and will remember you. Or tell you what to do. Or something...

I get recognised sometimes and other times I get glossed over on threads, I have days when I feel everyone is my mate and days when it's like I never existed.

I've only been here about a year and a half btw.

zippitippitoes · 21/08/2008 19:17

i dont know anyone in real life

cant imagine why

Flightlite · 21/08/2008 19:17

Btw posting a lot helps. I used to post all day every day and got kind of familiar.

Now I post less and don't know so much about what's going on with everyone. It's sad but I couldn't keep the pace! Have to devote the odd hour to the children.

zippitippitoes · 21/08/2008 19:19

well that was your first mistake

having children

MarsLady · 21/08/2008 19:20

honey we all get ignored. Why I've just started a thread about my complete and utter stupidness and only a few MNers have responded. Unless of course it is to protect me from their agreed thought that YES I am stupid! Sigh...

zippitippitoes · 21/08/2008 19:20

sadly most people realise too late that if only they hadnt had children they would have had more time to become mn superstars

AbbeyA · 21/08/2008 19:21

It is an interest at the moment (where else do you get chance to give complete strangers your opinion!)and I have spare time. I expect to be busy from next month, and when I give it up people won't notice that I have gone! It doesn't bother me.

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 21/08/2008 19:25

Mars

I left it on your phone.

Will email you.

CountessDracula · 21/08/2008 19:25

Do you post much?

It's like anything, you get out what you put in.

zippitippitoes · 21/08/2008 19:27

I've been posting for around the same period.

I have had many run-ins with prolific posters, been angry, pissed off, and ignored but you can't take it too seriously, or personally, it is anonymous after all.
I don't see how you could be collectively ignored-you get the fawners who back up particular posters but it's not worth worrying about them
I think you are being a little paranoid

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 21/08/2008 19:35

Ringing you, answer the phone you lazy mare.

Monkeytrousers · 21/08/2008 19:44

I'm an erstwhile old timer but not so old as to be on eof the 'founding mothers' hehe

I am an old curmudgeon though - on here - and have learnt to embrace it..like I am wearing purple now - and rollers

Monkeytrousers · 21/08/2008 19:45

Sorry, point being:

NO ONE shows me the respect I deserve!
