Shocked that no one helped the girl on the train

14 year old SA in trained

I am being unreasonable in think people need to stop being so absorbed on their phones whilst out in public. It seems no one helpped this child whilst she was being raped because they were too busy on their phones.

Autistic girl, 14, 'sexually assaulted on train by Afghan migrants'

Baryalai Rahimi, 25, and Mirebadurahman Sadat, 29, are said to have spotted the runaway teenager at a station in rural Kent before following her onto the London-bound train on February 5.

I don't know how many of them see women as second class citizens. I would imagine that most of them do but some of them are just kinder than others. Maybe it's a bit like owning a dog.

So if you don't know what do you think it's OK to spout this racism?

How convenient.

Do we consider real world experience Because I can supply it. We live near a migrant centre and my thirteen year old step daughter now has to be driven to and from school because of the threat these men pose to her, and children like her. She’s been chased, inappropriately touched, the suggestions of what these men would like to do to her are vile. And this is not just my own experience, but that of our neighbours with similarly aged daughters. Diminishing their experience and calling it racism does nothing to protect them, children like them or the rest of the women in the UK.

Easily. A Pakistani accent is distinctive and most Pakistanis in this country are Muslims. Can you not recognise a Pakistani accent?

So you're judging people by their voice when they could be Indian or a dozen other nationalities? Or even putting on an accent.

Let's hope you're never on a jury.

What on earth makes you think this poster is American.
That makes a change from the usual claim it must be a Russian bot.
Anyway troll hunting not allowed so post reported.

Denmark have the right idea. They've seen what's happened in Sweden and they're taking practical steps to stop it happening in Denmark by forcing immigrants to integrate properly.

So it’s the fact that they’re Pakistani not Muslim then?

I think people are confused about what they’re scared of - 1 minute it’s illegal immigrants, then it’s immigrants in general, then it’s Muslims, now it’s Pakistani men?

How is it racism to express concern at the threat migrants pose to women ?

Sorry but this batshit.

Zanatdy · Yesterday 20:37

I feel that’s unfair. I go on my phone on public transport but doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s going on around me. I would without question intervene, as would many, if they were aware.

Sorry, but this is nonsense.

I doubt Henry Novaks’ family would agree with you.

I can also supply it.

I am a victim myself, as well as many of my friends.

I now work with victims and perpetrators.

In mine and my colleagues experiences around the country, it is not immigrants that are the problem.

I wish it was because then that would be a simple solution but unfortunately it’s not.

It's racist to say Muslim men all regard women as something akin to a dog.

So your experience is absolutely nothing like my own then ? Or are you denying that my experience is valid ?

Do you also comment on white British men raping children? Because the stats on that are much higher. What are you doing to ask the government to do something about that?

Again, of course Britain has a higher population of white British males than refugees so the statistics will correlate as such.

Out of interest, have you ever lived in an Islamic country? What are your views on female children over 12 being banned from an education? Or being sold for forced marriages from the age of 9? Both of these happen in Afghanistan. What about marital rape or beating your wife? Legal in many Islamic countries and I have friends first hand who this has happened to. Is that acceptable to you?

Before you start branding me a fascist, yes I’ve lived in numerous Islamic countries, been married to an Arab and my ds is half Palestinian.

Yes, I know that right. I also know my consultant ( male Muslim) is not a person who regards me as on the same level as a dog.

No-one is saying all Muslim men. But there is a cohort. Funny how NAMALT only applies to British men.

Handing immigrants an educational leaflet which says "It is very naughty to touch a woman if she says "no," please do not do this" is absolutely not forcing immigrants to integrate.

Well I did live over the road from a mosque. Yes they could have been people from other countries with a similar accent - you are correct. But those countries (Afghanistan for example) are also majority Muslim.

You treat me as if I'm a dogmatic, brain-dead Reform voter but I'm not. So let's hope that you're never on a jury either (I won't be because I'm an autistic women with chronic health problems). I'm actually left-wing most of the time. But I don't agree with letting so many men into this country who hate women.

Yay another “white men rape too post”
I’m sure this is of great comfort to the 14 year old child raped by two late 20’s Afghan migrants.

What happened to this young girl is truly awful and nobody is to blame but the men that raped and assaulted her.

However, I am fed up with all this racist rubbish. I don't think that the rapists' country if origin is in any way relevant or contributory to the terrible trauma that she suffered and will likely continue to suffer as she struggles with what happened to her.

Let's focus on the perpetrators who are at fault and witness the UK law deal with them.

That poor girl!

I am so sorry for her that she was targeted by these preditory men and lacked the words to say no or to ask for help.

Why don't we each spend some time thinking about how we might support someone if we ever became aware of a similar situation in progress.
