Unpack online food shopping into bags!!

Please help me understand why would you unpack food delivered to your house into bags?

I obviously understand if you would struggle to lift the heavy trays that putting it into bags is better.

but my friend was over when I had my shopping delivered and she couldn’t understand why I carry the trays into my kitchen and not unpack into bags.

as I am physically able to carry the trays, how is it easier to unload into bags then unload again into kitchen ??

Same here. I live in a small block of flats on the first floor, so the driver tends to bring up all 3 crates at once to save him having to go back down the stairs.

I have a huge B&Q bag and another large shopping bag I put things into and then drag to my kitchen.

It’s never even occurred to me to take the crates off the driver and waltz into my flat with them.

Oh it’s ok, no one has to waltz, you can just walk normally.

Your use of ‘waltz’ suggested you think there’s something audacious about taking the crates in, but I expect the drivers would tell me if I wasn’t supposed to do it.
