To think this isn’t how you wash hair?

DS 10 needed to wash his hair. He only had a shower this morning so didn’t want a full body wash. It has been a battle to get him to wash recently so we compromised with just a hair wash.

I walked in on DH washing DS hair in the bathroom sink. We have a bathtub with a removable shower attachment in the same room.

AIBU to think washing hair over the bathtub would be the obvious choice? DH doesn’t seem to think so.

Why does it matter? Both are fine options

ThePM · Yesterday 17:50

You can think what you like, but if someone else was doing the job, do NOT go sticking your oar in.

MuttsNutts · Yesterday 17:50

Who cares how it was washed 🤷🏻‍♀️

ColdAsAWitches · Yesterday 17:51

Who gives a shit? The hair got washed. How it happened doesn't matter.

Absobeautely · Yesterday 17:51

The hair was washed.
Whether the run off water went into a bath or a sink, the outcome is exactly the same. I'm surprised anyone would give this any thought.

DarkForces · Yesterday 17:53

I assumed this would be done controversial hair washing practice like using mayonnaise but I can't see that the receptacle for water matters

Rayqueen84 · Yesterday 17:54

Either is fine for our kids I couldn't care less lol

Is there a full moon tonight ? This isn't even the most batshit thread I've read in the last 5 minutes . . .

FallBreeze · Yesterday 17:55

Neither, kitchen sink is a better choice. 😉

But if it got done and what too messy it doesn't matter.

JLou08 · Yesterday 17:55

Do you always try to micromanage your family?

5128gap · Yesterday 17:56

Sink for me. Bending over the bath kills my back.

Lomonald · Yesterday 17:57

It is washed what does it matter? It sounds an absolute faff tbf but job done.

Simonjt · Yesterday 17:58

The sinks easier plus no one ends up with an achey back.

Topseyt123 · Yesterday 17:59

Nothing wrong with that. The job got done.

OttersOnAPlane · Yesterday 18:00

Both work equally well - a jug and the sink makes less mess in my experience.

^ This. Although I'm confused as to why he didn't wash his hair in the shower that morning. And why a 10yr old needs someone to wash it for him.

likelysuspect · Yesterday 18:01

Who cares?

I hate doing it over the bath, far too low.

DeceitfulNameChange · Yesterday 18:01

I wash my hair in the sink despite having a perfectly functional shower.....do you think you could pick me out in a crowd purely based on how I wash my hair OP?

user1471538275 · Yesterday 18:01

This is how he chose to wash hair.

When you wash hair, you can pick.

maddiemookins16mum · Yesterday 18:02

If I ever need to just wash my hair, I use the kitchen sink.

Toothpastestain · Yesterday 18:02

Why must they do it "your way"?

OrneryWorld · Yesterday 18:04

Could be worse. He could have dunked him in the toilet 😳
