Am I being harsh or not? These are a selection of comments from the past month or so…

-We were at a car dealership looking at a new car for me and he referred to SUV’s as ‘milf-mobiles’ saying that’s what the school run mums drive. The salesman we were speaking with awkwardly laughed.

-Made a ‘joke’ about an item of food he ordered when the waiter put it in front of him, ‘that’ll be the farts later then’. Just what you want to hear when about to eat.

-Used the term ‘front bottom’.

Any thoughts on whether I’m being harsh?!

It's kind of baffling that you've ended up with him for as long as nine months, to be honest; I can't imagine he's undergone a complete personality change in the last few weeks so presumably you've known from the start that he's a nobhead.

Tangentially: I'd find the term 'front bottom' acceptable in a jokey/ironic context, because the absurdity of it would make me laugh, but if someone used that term during sex, I'd have dumped him before he'd even put his pants back on.

Nevertheless, saying those things in front of strangers is not ok. Especially the farts would have spoiled my meal. Seems like he's getting comfortable with you and not holding back anymore.

First one - meh. He's a bit juvenile.
