To find DP ick inducing…

Am I being harsh or not? These are a selection of comments from the past month or so…

-We were at a car dealership looking at a new car for me and he referred to SUV’s as ‘milf-mobiles’ saying that’s what the school run mums drive. The salesman we were speaking with awkwardly laughed.

-Made a ‘joke’ about an item of food he ordered when the waiter put it in front of him, ‘that’ll be the farts later then’. Just what you want to hear when about to eat.

-Used the term ‘front bottom’.

Any thoughts on whether I’m being harsh?!

My 12 yo DS would say that sort of thing. He still finds sex and willies hilarious.

Is this really the first time he's made fart jokes in front of you? Scatological humour isn't my thing so I wouldn't have dated that kind of man in the first place (and in my experience people who enjoy toilet humour don't tend to hold it in for nine months).

Milf-mobiles would have made me laugh (and also roll my eyes) though. I've heard them called worse.

NoMorePie · Yesterday 15:21

so relieved to read it’s nine months and you can leave the thick idiot.

UndoRedo · Yesterday 15:23

Nope, I have too much class to be associated with someone like that I'm afraid

It’s going that way…glad I’m not being unreasonable from the early votes

I mean, it wouldn’t even matter. If he gives you the ick then don’t be with him.

No point wasting your time getting more and more invested until it is too late and you’re married to someone you don’t like.

Nah milf mobile was rubbish, and I’ve been know to have a giggle every now and then when watching the golf. The phrase ‘choking down on the shaft’ gets me every time. I’m a child 😆

W0tnow · Yesterday 15:27

I’m finding it genuinely difficult to rate those 3 in terms of ickness. But I’ll have a go….

Front bottom
Milf mobiles
fart food.

That’s starting with the worst. I’m happy to be challenged, though. Fire away.

nomas · Yesterday 15:27

Ugh please get rid. And don't tell him why.

Alliteration and rhyming are my weaknesses when it comes to humour. I will laugh at the most objectively unfunny puns if they rhyme.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · Yesterday 15:38

Definitely bin him.

And sounds like he’s a boyfriend not a DP

Lmnop22 · Yesterday 15:39

I’m sorry but you MUST share the context in which a grown man used the term “front bottom” 😬

Bumbelinaaa · Yesterday 15:43

How do you react when he says this stuff? Me and my husband say stuff that makes each other cringe (more often than not, on purpose!) but we don’t hide our reaction to each other. Sometimes (within reason) people do need correcting.

PashaMinaMio · Yesterday 15:45

Disgusting common low IQ ignorant behavior.

Familiarity as time goes on will breed more of his ability to embarrass you.

I suggest you get out now.

These are all boorish and vulgar and icky, yes.

But the worst thing for me is how none of them are actual jokes i.e. newly-minted witticisms.

They are all little knee-jerk pre-learned phrases that he must roll out as the occasion "demands".

So, it's a no from me.

Shodan · Yesterday 15:54

Just dump him.

Tell him he doesn't give you the squiggly-wigglies in your front bottom any more or something.

TFImBackIn · Yesterday 15:57

Ugh no, get rid and yell "Grow up!" when you tell him.

GoodGirlFaith · Yesterday 15:57

Surely anyone who says things like that, has always done so?

Dweetfidilove · Yesterday 16:01

What's front bottom?

mechanicalpencil · Yesterday 16:06

Sorry OP but some of these comments are hilarious!! 😆 🤣
Shame the laugh emoji was scrapped!

TwoBagsOfCompost · Yesterday 16:08

He probably thinks he has great banter 😭🤣

How did you end up dating Jay from The Inbetweeners?

🤣🤣

GeorgeMichaelsCat · Yesterday 16:11

Ewww! In the bin with him.

BountyMarsMilkyWay · Yesterday 16:12

I'd get rid. Surprised you haven't come across this before in 9 months. Teenage humour really isn't attractive to me as I'm not 13. Actually I don't think that even a 13 year old girl would find any of that funny.

NoisyViewer · Yesterday 16:13

You’ve only been with him 9 months. He’s giving you the ick. It doesn’t matter what any one else thinks. You know what you want to do. We don’t need to have a pile on some bloke because he has bad dad jokes. I assume he isn’t evil so ridiculing on here (albeit anonymous) isn’t really warranted

To describe an outfit he saw someone wearing at his gym - ill fitting shorts essentially.
