… It would be one's asking about trousers on flights.

Bearing in mind I've been on here over 20 years, Lived through all the baby pasta, the baby modelling threads and all that crap, that yet this one never dies.

I think it's more than even mother of a bride theme because more people are obsessed with what trousers to wear sitting down for a few hours.
What type of thread always makes you roll your eyes?

(Special points for people who say threats like the one we're on now, very good well done 😃)

I find it's always wise to wear pants on a flight

Wait! I'm going on a long-haul soon and plan to wear trousers. But are you implying I also have to wear pants????

The ‘my child’s’ school/Tesco/our local council has banned the word ‘Christmas’ threads. Won’t be long now !!

There was one in Active earlier

Also been here for 18 years and never seen a trousers on flight thread Grin

My pet hate is any thread that refers to brigades. As in "I know this won't be popular with the gentle parenting brigade..."

Mentioning brigades and lumping people into one because it suits your narrow world view just seems like an efficient way of announcing that you're fairly intolerant of differing opinions and incapable of seeing things from someone else's point of view.

Bloody brigades indeedGrin

😂😂😂.
This bit made me howl "Please be assured that Brian is a very caring man whose only concern is the health and happiness of yoni's".

Lucky, lucky women of MN and their yonis to have Brian taking such a concerned interest in them 😱.

And lucky Brian to have such an accommodating wife !! A quick Google reveals that there is also something called a Yoni Mudra, which is a ‘hand gesture’ designed to honour feminine energy. Hmmmm…………..

Threads about weight which are worded in such a way as to start a race for someone to say 'We've lost sight of what a healthy body looks like these days' - or any variation thereof.

Dontlletmedownbruce · Yesterday 18:49

The why do men do this ones. Where someone talks about their personal experience and assumes everyone who doesn't agree fully is either too stupid to believe they are being used or abused themselves, or actually a man.

Hey now! For some of us, leggings were a god send! Much more so than sliced bread or the person who figured out you could eat something coming out of a chicken's butt. Less so than the person who first experimented with cacao plants and invented chocolate. THAT person should be a Saint! Saint Aztec God, Saint Hershey, Saint Godiva....

I agree with you on chocolate, but my saints would be Ritter & Galaxy.

When leggings were first massively "in" in the 80s/90s, I had legs like Twiglets. They looked ridiculous on me. My legs might be less skinny, but I still hate the fuckers ...

I’ve got a temperature of 47, am vomiting blood and my left leg has dropped off. Should I go to A and E?

invariablu invites at least 1 reply from some fucker who suggests ringing 111 instead of wasting hospital resources and a second fucker whose aunt/grandmother/husband’s colleague’s cat had this and is now completely fine.

Some of those were just nasty, some absolutely disgusting. Horrible thread

To be fair there were some funny and trivial ones.

The threads where the husband has a hobby but the OP can’t say what it is because it’s ‘outing’. Three pages of badgering later we find out it’s either golf or cycling (it’s always golf or cycling).

How old are you? Could you be Peri?
It WILL appear before the end of the first page.

It's usually so early as well. I kind of worry about these women, it must get so stressful, testing just after ovulation.

I don't get why this annoys so many people, the actual hobby is rarely relevant to the dilemma, why does it matter if the OP doesnt want to say what it is?

I think everyone should move on now, it's too predictable and boring to see it mentioned so often

Humblebrag crap where OP describes a situation where they did something noble and wonderful for humanity and then fish for a round of applause by saying something like “was lil ol’ me wrong to save the baby from the burning pushchair????”

Or if they post a picture of a professional looking cake/dress/oil painting that they, the plucky amateur that they be, just created and are we all suitably impressed with their efforts.

absolutely this!!!

”I did something kind to someone today and my ‘friend’ said I shouldn’t have was IBU??”

Just so they can get pages and pages of pats on the back and I can’t even call bullshit because I get deleted for troll hunting

Always, always peri. Even though the woman is 31. Or 87.

Parenting ones where the OP doesn’t say how old. ‘My DS cries when I leave the room’. Ok is he 6 months, 6 or 16?

Oh yes, this. Here's fifteen paragraphs of a really tricky, identifiable dilemma, but I can't tell you DH's hobby, because that would be 'outing.'

Plus the word 'hobby' sounds so mimsy. Whenever someone says 'DH's hobby,' I imagine someone meticulously painting tiny Warhammer figures in a darkened room.

Anything about speeding (or driving actually) they always degenerate into the usual attempt to justify illegal behaviour.

Just drive below the fucking speed limit.

The ‘Can we wear slim jeans now?’, ‘Anyone else got their autumn wardrobe out yet?’ ‘ Can I wear this necklace with this skirt?’
FFS, just wear what you want! If it’s cold wear a jumper, if you like slim jeans then put them on.

I am not a fashionista…
