Woukd people really kill thousands of innocent people to save a loved one? I can understand murdering someone who was an active threat to my family. Choosing to wipe out innocent lives even for my beautiful child I’d think twice.

I think this is very reasonable and with another adult they may be the sort of person who'd want you to save 10,000 others.
My dh probably would want others saved. So this would make it a more nuanced decision.
I would miss him but wouldn't feel so bad as it really would be what he wanted.

With own children though I'm pretty sure most would save their own children when it came down to it.

We dont all love the same way , we don’t all react the same way , we don’t all have the same courage or cold blood . I would do anything to protect my children . I have been in a position where they where in direct danger ( 2 of them not all 4 ) I know fully well how I react and how fast and without hesitation , o know it’s not the norm to everyone and that is fine maybe life took me there . Would I feel bad about killing innocent people ? 100% , would I even question it if the option was to see my children die ? No . And yes it is fine you don’t agree with it .
