To eat an entire Vienetta like an ice lolly?

Ok hear me out. I eat really healthily normally. I am a size 12, muscular, lift weights 3 times a week. Slim, athletic build. Try to avoid UPFs and sugar.

Sometimes I just want a release from the pressure of being so well behaved! I have quite an academic job, work part time but end up spending some spare time on the house/family/kids. Make a huge effort to support my two teens, my DH, as well as working in a pressured job.

Sometimes I just want to let loose and do something "crazy" like eat an entire Vienetta (mint) like it's a giant ice lolly while everyone else is asleep. Is this normal behaviour or AIBU?

I think I could manage a Vienetta (original) much more easily than a Colin. However in the past, I have done a family size tiramisu for breakfast (as fuel for a 10k sponsored swim).

I once ate an entire tub of Carte D’or Rum n Raisin icecream. DP was both impressed and shocked.

I’m not really in any place to judge.

I go through periodic urges for a Colin the Caterpillar but the reality is that he’s so sickly I can only manage two segments, tops. And that’s not including his sickly little white feet.

Some Irish lad, Rory, has set a new Guinness World Record for eating a Viennetta in the fastest time, 1 minute 15 seconds, the other day 😂

I thought Guinness had stopped including eating-based records a few years back, to discourage people from harming their health (or even killing themselves) by massively overindulging?!

Maybe it's different if it's a set amount of food that is deemed acceptable for one person - such as one single loaf of Viennetta - and the record is only in the speed of eating that set amount, rather than stuffing in hundreds of any particular food item (e.g. Creme Eggs or doughnuts; you'd probably be fine with a few hundred beans or grains of rice) until you pass out?!

I've no idea @BrezhnevsLuxuriantEyebrows that's kind of interesting so I had a little look

Limits on Competitive Eating

  • No Unlimited Eating: Guinness World Records banned "largest meal" and unlimited consumption records in the 1990s due to severe health and fatal stomach overextension risks. 1]
  • Short Time Caps: All eating speed records are restricted to small quantities and short time limits (usually a maximum of three minutes, such as eating three cream crackers or a single item). 1, 2, 3]

Prohibited Categories

  • Speed/Binge Drinking: Alcohol consumption and speed drinking records are completely banned.

Record policies

Guinness World Records has a strict list of record policies that must be adhered to for all our record breaking achievements.
