To be disappointed Dolly Parton supported biological men using women's toilets?

I really liked her music and she seemed like a nice person: her Imagination Library came to my borough recently. I was very sad to hear she'd died.
But was very disappointed to read this. The statements she made about trans people deserving respect, no issue with those.
But minimising the reasonable concerns women have about being forced to let men in their toilets was wrong.
I'm not saying she should have spoken out for GC issues. It might have been best just not to comment.
Parton had connections with drag queens and I wonder if that's the lens she saw transwomen through : not an excuse but might partially explain.

I think her intrinsic kindness made her a target for organisations with their own targeted agendas.
She always maintained she wouldn't get involved in politics, because she didn't want to upset half her fans, yet she spoke out in favour of trans people, and also actively promoted covid jabs. Those two issues alone probably alienated millions of people.

TBH my only real objection to males using female loos is that they’re apt to pee on the seats and not clean it up.

Quite a few loos in e.g. theatres/museums seem to be unisex now, and I can’t say it bothers me.

Well you get a lot of stick don’t you if you aren’t pro Palestine/anti Israel or pro trans and you are in the media so it’s hard to know what people do believe on those subjects.

The poor woman is barely in the ground and is being dragged on a public forum about the Trans debate.

I am not surprised that an LGBTQ+ ally was supportive of trans rights no. She was more intelligent than to conflate drag artists with trans people.

Is this really surprising for you? Despite what GCers like to claim, being "GC"/transphobic is a right wing, conservative position. Dolly Parton was pretty clearly not that.

What's the point of your post apart from stirring the pot? I can tell you without reading the comments that there will be comments agreeing that biological males are not women, some will defend trans rights, some will be outraged that you bring this up so soon after her death, some will say artists are free to express themselves. You will not arrive at a conclusion and nobody will be convinced to change their original opinion. Yet another trans post which brought nothing but people arguing with each other, but clearly this is your intention

I worked in an office building with unisex toilets for 13 years. I didn't have any problem with it, and I never heard anyone else, male or female, express any concerns about it either.
