Any one else worried about the rise of the far right in Europe. Churchill once said ‘those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it’. Obviously social conditions are different from the 1930s, but there are similarities such as using immigrants as scapegoats (not Jews this time). Reform has already peaked. They're not going to get into government at the next election.

It’s up in the air re the next GE. The French election could be a factor.

I am not the one looking to radically redefine who gets to be British, that's you. In my world, the current real world, children born and raised in Britain for the first ten years of their lives are entitled to full British citizenship and the same set of rights that you presumably enjoy- whether or not their parents were born in the UK. That's what I want to keep. Today's rules, you can look them up on the Home Office website.
So I'm asking you again: what do you want to do with children born of at least one foreign born parent?

Mass influx of undocumented males who arrive here illegally and need to be given leaflets saying do not rape etc….. gosh, how very dare we have concerns for our daughters. Especially when a lot of these men come from countries where women don’t have human rights and 40 year old men can marry kids. Are they a product of their environment? Yes for those who hold those beliefs but do I want a centre next door to me? Absolutely not until we know who they are.

How very right wing of anyone to dare say , actually I’m concerned…. The irony in the middle class poster holders who don’t have to worry about getting attacked because they aren’t on their doorstep in the leafy suburbs. You seem not to understand the difference between facts and opinion. No indulgence or promotion of my own narrative about it. Go to YouTube and look at the footage. It's all there. Facts. Meanwhile, due process is taking its course in Parliament as the Privileges Committee looks at why Farage was gifted £5m and whether he should have declared it.

But Labour are doing something about immigration. So how is Reform going to do anything different? Their values and what they've campaigned for are partially what caused the increase in non EU immigration to the UK. People are still gullible enough to believe they will do something different so because they "say so"?

THIS is the problem, what people believe, and what is actually happening are hugely removed from each other, and that is allowing the rise of extremism.

I think Reform will have unravelled by the time we get there. Restore will probably take a chunk of their votes, but they're too extreme for most so the rest will go back to the Tories.

Hard to say what will happen to the Green vote, but that may well implode as well. Libdems? They will take a share.

I think it will mainly be an old fashioned Labour/Tory contest with a few extra fringe parties on the edges. The nationalist parties in Wales and Scotland will probably continue to do well.

Mass is made up of individuals. The minute you lose sight of that, you get mass graves.

That wasn’t my point but fine, go ahead and remain confused. Recent migrants on benefits are absolutely extracting limited financial resources from the state. Putting up the men from the “small” boats are also costing the state resources it does not have.

Absolutely agree that British ex pats should learn the language of the country they choose to live in. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t. If you choose to move to another country to live, then you should learn the language of that country and absorb their culture and values. I work for a very large company, and we had to implement rules around speaking a different language, because of complaints that certain communities were conversing in their own language, isolating and excluding others working alongside them.

I think it depends who is in power in France. If it’s two parties on the right they’ll likely introduce other measures.

If you are a woman, you would not be agreeing with far right views (unless you were a complete idiot).

As a woman you should be just as concerned about the rise in far right views and as any leftist is.
