This is some dystopian lord of the flies hell. Those poor women. Burned on the boat. Wth. Poor man stabbed to death. Why are the people that did this then going to be roaming free in the UK? Why are they allowed to enter the UK in the first place? Why are gangs not being 'smashed'?

Why won't the government tell us the truth about their crime rates?

The French must think we are mad no wonder they do little to help us. The mayor of Calais was on TV stressing these pull factors.

My point was about the toxicity of algorithms. Also, why are some of the most anti immigrant and intolerant parts of the UK the places with barely any immigrants. They're generally places with low education levels and high crime levels, but none of the blame for this can be laid at the feet of immigrants. It's not an immigrants fault if you didn't pay attention at school, and your neighbours choose to get involved in crime. It seems to be multicultural and diverse places don't seem to have the same fear of immigrants.

So we have to take all their rejects ? Yeah, right.

How would you make France take them and stop them trying to get to the UK again?

Not my choice as to placement but Dartmoor Prison would do well after a revamp, as I understand that it's empty.

Screw the supreme court. Parliament is sovereign and passed legislation deeming Rwanda safe. We could have still gone through and sent them there.

How would you differentiate between genuine and false claims? You can only make a claim when in the UK, not from outside the UK in any other country.

(I am rather surprised they aren't trying harder to stop leaving as those poor people who live on the Northern French coast are sick to death of them and the crimes they commit.)
What we can do is stop all the perks they get when they arrive to discourage them from making the crossing.

You’d have no independent review of proposed legislation? The Supreme Court was deciding whether the government’s proposed scheme complied with existing UK law and the UK’s legal obligations. It didn’t.

Absolutely you are not being unreasonable!! When was the last time we saw boat loads of migrant women and children only coming across?
These are middle age, fighting age men coming across apparently fleeing war yet they must be leaving they're women and children behind.
I fear that with all these undocumented men there are so many over here now and so many unaccounted for something will happen in this country from the inside, from right on our very streets. I fear, like many parents for my children's safety and future.
Not to mention the pulling power this country house. Free NHS care, benefits, social housing, school meals and places..... the list is endless.
