AIBU to think migrant sex crime data should be published? And to wonder why Labour are blocking the release of that data?

Labour Blocks Release of Migrant Crime Data

'Victims of serious crimes and their families have joined forces to demand that the Labour government publish detailed data on offences committed by foreign nationals, accusing ministers of withholding information that is “clearly and legitimately in the public interest”.

Among the signatories are victims of high-profile sexual offences and families of murder victims. One signatory is a 14-year-old victim of a sexual assault in Epping allegedly committed by an illegal immigrant, in the same Essex town where asylum seekers were housed at the controversial Bell Hotel.
Fiona Goddard, a survivor of rape-gang grooming who has campaigned publicly about her experiences, has also signed the letter.

Eight relatives of Rhiannon Whyte, a hotel worker murdered by a Sudanese national, are also among those backing the demand.'

I fear you’re both shouting into the void but I’ve read your posts at least. What gets recorded on a police crime investigation as “suspect” or a police custody record is a long way from data as a convicted person without all the other complicating factors.

@ClarkeandNewman - ok, so do you think then that the govt should do absolutely nothing if the statistics show that - not Frenchmen - who will have documents - but new mass arrivals are problematic crime-wise?

TemperanceWest · 29/08/2026 08:55

LuckyHazelFox · 29/08/2026 08:52

I see xenophobia has temporarily stepped into replace racism as the latest liberal gaslighting trick. You don't need the stats. because there's nothing you can do about dangerous men anyway. Put up and shut up mentality.

Are you going to answer the questions asked of you LHF? Or are you just going to berate people for asking them and put false words in their mouths?

Shall we start with men?

German statistics have repeatedly shown over-representation of non-German and some migrant groups among suspects for certain violent and sexual offences

The U.K. would never disclose this information - but we can assume it’s just as bad here.

Can you show us those statistics and explain their meaning and significance please? We'll need an credible source, not X or any political commentators. TIA.

Ah. I asked you twice about whether/why you think the terms foreign nationals, asylum seekers, migrants and illegal immigrants are interchangeable and mean the same thing. Please answer. Otherwise it seems that you're just vomiting out words without any basis.

You asked about the original post, which is a quote.

There's classifications of men.

LuckyHazelFox · 29/08/2026 08:56

There's classifications of men.

They’re all capable of sexual assault.

You can start with what you like, what else do you have? Let's remember this isn't an exercise based in fact. I've asked people to expose their prejudice and remarkably I already have a taker.

You're berating women for wanting this information, are you not?

Ascribing a lunatic fringe view to someone who clearly doesn't hold that view and asking them to defend it is a tiresome rhetorical tactic indeed.

You're disputing statistics are you? You wanted a group, I gave you one.

It doesn’t really matter. We have a FOI system and the ICO have rejected Labour’s excuses for not releasing the information. It’s a good system, the public can ask for information and the ICO applies parameters.

Point to where I asked l for statistics (which you haven't provided anyway). Then accept you didn't properly read my post because you were too busy engaging in frothing prejudice and welcomed the chance to display it.

Ah original, says a lot about you. I wasn't ignoring you on purpose, I guess your questions got lost in a fog of blah. A big blob of blah, if you will.

My answer is no they are not interchangeable. I'd like data for each one.

There's that frothing word again. I came came from a starting point of which foreign national group represented a high number of offenders per se.

Please link to posts where I have berated women for wanting the information. You will find I haven't. I have just asked questions, which you are avoiding.

If the data is released, that is fine by me. I have no problem with it. I don't think it will do much to prevent VAWG though.

You still haven't answered me, @blossomtoes - Why would releasing the sex crime data increase 'xenophobia'?
