WTF is this new trend

AIBU to think the trend for Lingerie lace and silk as outer wear is really odd?
Everywhere I look there’s cheap lace appliquéd onto skirts and t shirts.

Then today I saw bra’s, as t-shirt motif’s.

AIBU to think this trend is awful.

Don't know if it's new or just come round again - I had a skirt in the 2000s that older people were always stopping me to tell me "your slip is showing" because it had a bit of silk and lace at the bottom. I also used to wear M and S nighties as club dresses, with a boa and sandals.

I mean, silk and lace can look gorgeous if done right, but that t-shirt is an abomination.

There was one like the one above in either Zara or Mango or equivilent.

I can’t find the one I saw in a high street shop today but it was a plain, short sleeved, cotton t-shirt with a lace bra aplliqued on the front.

Hideous! Like those ridiculous Chanel bare foot shoes that an actress wore the other day on a red carpet.

Silk and lace have always been used on clothes. However I do agree that the bra T shirt is a new spin and looks fucking awful. Reminds me of those terrible aprons with the woman wearing "sexy" underwear printed on.

It would look worse on a flesh coloured t shirt.
