To be a bit gleeful about Harry's court case

Serves him right. He's made millions from Netflix, book deals and accusing them of being racist. Bit odd he's now coming back.

Will the King pay his debts.I hope not. Now the long suffering public will be fleeced for his security costs which will be around £5m a yea r. And they wonder why they are unpopular.

But if successful this action would have affected the freedom to investigate for every newspaper, e.g. the Guardian etc. I am no fan of the DM but I do value press freedom.

I agree. Following on from the Leveson Inquiry where the press were rightly held to account, they have to be far more careful what they print so that it falls within the law. No one is above criticism or comment and the press should be free to do this.

The Daily Mail is a cancer, their coverage of anything H&M is nothing short of demented. A quick glance at the comments under any of the thousands of articles they've written about them makes me genuinely fearful about the kind of people who walk among us. I genuinely don't think they'll be happy until there's a divorce or death.

They are sad people, imo. To be spewing such vitriol, that they must be carrying inside, cannot be easy though.

Hellooooo how many threads are there about Harry n meghan you make them more popular, people constantly starting threads on them= embarrassing!

You’re criticising him for balding? Pathetic.

I can't help remembering Harry's unpleasant gibes about William going bald, a few years back. His going bald himself feels like poetic justice: he went on about it as if it were a moral failing in his brother, and now he's going to have to suck it up if people do the same about him.

AgnesMcDoo · 21/08/2026 17:58

Rich people expecting to get their own way all the time.

It was a weak case, should never have gone to court.

Absolute rubbish. I trust you are not trying to insinuate I am racist as you would have no proof of that for the simple truth I’m not.

Do you feel the same about Elton John OP? What about Doreen Lawrence? They were co claimants and also owe this money amongst others.

It's ghoulish how so many people on here and joyously rubbing their hands with glee at any perceived misfortune of Harry it Meghan. Seriously, get a hobby or a life of your own. Ghouls.

But all of them knew they were lying about the evidence they were presenting. The original incidents were way outside the allowed time for prosecution so newer up to date versions of the same info were fabricated to bring it within the time allowed for sueing. There were loads of emails about it presented during the trial that showed how the intention was to innocently pretend they'd all "only just read this story, honest, just today, never seen it before today" for stuff that was published 30 years ago.

They knew they were lying, they went into knowing they were lying. Who the original instigator was I don't know but I suspect Harry, and for whatever reason the others joined him. Bad, bad decision.

Its not us who has put them at the very beginning of the BBC news yesterday. Putin bombing Ukraine and threatening the UK. No. Its those two making the headlines Ukraine was second. So don't blame posters. Harry and Meghan being forced down our throats at every turn I thought they wanted privacy.

Geeeez you do know H&M don’t control what the press print don’t you?

Focus on your own life and your own community. You seem weirdly obsessed with them.

adverteasing · 21/08/2026 18:09

"Gleeful"? No.

But I would like to see the Sussexes held to account by the British press for some of the lies they've told, and inconsistencies in their behaviour. An interview with Emily Maitlis would be good.

So Harry discovered when he tried to control them via the courts…

Omg the irony, though it's probably wasted on you.

Messedupmyusernameagain · 21/08/2026 18:12

I feel sorry for him and all of them really. From the little I have read, it seems that their case was based on illegal content gathering which they thought was from hacking, whereas the stories they pointed at were gained through legal content gathering- namely, being betrayed by their friends, family, staff etc. So the DM were offering £££ to these people for stories. In Harry's case, it looks like a woman he shagged turned out to be journalist who told the DM stuff about him. They didn't believe that their friends would do such a thing, and the only other explanation would be hacking. But its turned out that their friends etc were actually not loyal at all. What a horrible way to find out that you cant trust your inner circle. Harry's mates are all aristo's They don't need money yet they still went running to the DM at every turn. Especially when you blame chasing paps for having a hand in your mothers death, and the very same people who were paying huge amounts of money to paps, encouraging them to engage in reckless behaviour are now paying your friends to betray you. What a nasty thing to be gleeful about just because a member of the RF had the audacity to talk about his own family!

Was Iran mentioned much? That escalation is the biggest story facing the public in the UK because it will affect mortgage rates and a whole raft of other costs, H and M are being used as distraction.
