To be a bit gleeful about Harry's court case

Serves him right. He's made millions from Netflix, book deals and accusing them of being racist. Bit odd he's now coming back.

Will the King pay his debts.I hope not. Now the long suffering public will be fleeced for his security costs which will be around £5m a yea r. And they wonder why they are unpopular.

How do you know who's funding his security?

Unpleasant post already generating unpleasant replies.

That is the question. Who will fund it?

snafumafu · 21/08/2026 16:58

YABU, and mean to come gloat about it on here, especially as you are siding with the Daily Fail. Tells us a lot about the kind of person you are.

How low to say something like that. He cannot help going bald. That is just so nasty.

But he can help being a lying grifter

JudgeJ · 21/08/2026 16:58

Epoisses · 21/08/2026 15:45

Like all the royals

And a lot on this site too!

AnswerIsNo · 21/08/2026 17:00

Is Harry even having a court case?

I must start reading the angry websites, my Schadenfraude needs powering up

Now if you had told me Trump had died in a plane crash, I'd fucking run the shop for a bottle of large lager and break my teetotal spree of 5.5 years, actually no I wouldn't not even for the demise of the clementine Jabba.

Bit harsh...Princess Anne's got a magnificent head of hair for her age.

The bit that I can't fathom is why it's predominantly those who are big royal fans who hate the Sussexes. It seems weird that they're filled with adoration for all of them bar Harry.

I'm a republican, so I find it amusing and don't really take any of it seriously. To me, it's no more significant than the Beckham family falling out.

I’m a republican too but I don’t think it’s odd that fans of the royal family would dislike Harry the most. He has been very critical of both the institution and some of the individuals in it.

No they are not being forced down anyone's throat, unless they want them to be. I manage to get through my day without being bothered by Harry, and Meghan. Maybe you should try it!

oh

LakieLady · 21/08/2026 16:08

Including poor Doreen Lawrence. As if she hasn't been through enough.

Iirc, they've got collective insurance that covers some of it, but they'll still have to pay a big chunk.

Unfortunately Doreen turned on the very people who helped put her son’s murders away. You might not like the mail but they were incredibly persistent in trying to get justice for her son and they succeeded.

I don't really understand the MN mentality, the vast majority have been delighted that their court case against ANL failed spectacularly with all their assiciated debts yet this kind of post crops up time and again! Some people really do need to make their minds up. Your post says about about the kind of confused person you are deary.

ToWhitToWhoo · 21/08/2026 17:03

YABU. Not because I have enormous sympathy with Harry, who is attention-seeking and, it would seem, rather greedy. But because the Daily Mail are poisonous and have too often invaded the privacy of far more vulnerable people, who would not be in any position to sue. So I m sorry that they haven't been curbed.

This is why he’s come home, he’s skint. Meghan has had to get a job.

If only she was good at ironing

Is today the exception?

Bollihobs · 21/08/2026 17:13

whatdoidonowffs · 21/08/2026 16:31

Would that be poor Doreen who offered to change her evidence for £650000 ?
or poor Doreen who moved her sons body without consulting the father

Well to be completely accurate -

"Prior to the trial's conclusion, Doreen Lawrence's lawyer suggested she would withdraw her claim.........if the publisher paid her £650,000." 🤔

I assume by then they'd realised that they'd failed spectacularly and that was her counsel's attempt at getting her out of it before the shit of the legal bill hit the fan.

Needless to say ANL declined her offer.

Motnight · 21/08/2026 17:14

Ablondiebutagoody · 21/08/2026 15:49

Other stuff too. But he should shave it off rather than continue down the Bobby Charlton road.

Bloody hell. All of the shit going on in the world and a man gets criticism for balding.

LlynTegid · 21/08/2026 17:19

I cannot celebrate any victory for the paper that supported the Blackshirts and all the hatred and misery they have inflicted on many people.

Even though the law must prevail.

CarpeVitam · 21/08/2026 17:20

You clearly don’t have enough going on in your own life, OP 🙄

simpsonthecat · 21/08/2026 17:21

Viviennemary · 21/08/2026 16:29

Its not us who has put them at the very beginning of the BBC news yesterday. Putin bombing Ukraine and threatening the UK. No. Its those two making the headlines Ukraine was second. So don't blame posters. Harry and Meghan being forced down our throats at every turn I thought they wanted privacy.

So are you blaming THEM for the BBC coverage? Is that what you're saying? The fact the DM posts 15 pages about them is their fault?
Have you not heard of clickbait and viewing figures?

Port1aCastis · 21/08/2026 17:26

You need to get out more OP being gleeful about The Daily Fail is crazy

FreddoEspresso · 21/08/2026 17:28

Your glee wouldn't surprise me in the least @Viviennemary

Many of us are properly familiar with your posts. I wonder if you have made a post about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor?

For my sins, I wandered over to the thread about this on the Royal board.

The UK does seem to breed these mad nutbags that hate brown folk and anyone who isn't a Daily Mail reading royalist.

Thankfully, they are a minority. Reform polling won't convince me otherwise.

Monty36 · 21/08/2026 17:30

I am glad Harry is coming home. He belongs here. He is of these islands.
I am not excusing all that has occurred in any way, shape or form.
His work with Invictus is very good indeed. And a credit to him.

He just needs to say sorry properly. By not having any interviews, arguments. And keeping his head down.

Meghan will be the issue. I am not sure she will understand what is required, nor be able to do it. I hope I am wrong though.

EasternStandard · 21/08/2026 17:32

I didn’t really follow it but just hearing about the rare ruling on the very high costs they’ll have to pay.

What ridiculous rubbish this comment is. Saying the UK is racist (which is what you are saying) when it has incredible rich diversity and acceptance amongst the different cultures that live in the UK.
